@Sorbo
Mason has been pretty damned good. And while there are some people who think "The Bullies" exist, there aren't too many around these days. Most of the fans under 35 or 40 I've spoken to or been around enjoy fights occasionally, but only if they have meaning in the game. Those dumbass fans who keep going to games expecting a fight are annoying as fuck, and they demean the Flyers. Management sees grit/toughness/whatever as an element for defining a team, and it's still baffling. This year they picked a face puncher in the 3rd round. As if finding those guys as a free agent is an difficult. It's frustrating that Holmgren and co are so set in their ways, because he has otherwise proven adaptable in improving the team.
Also, PHI hasn't had a "brawl" game in a while. There were a few in the past year or two, but those team don't get called goons. It's an unfair assessment, with the exception of Emery. He forced Holtby to fight in a game the Caps had already won, I don't want my goalie to do that ever.

line brawl is cool, but goign after someone who doesnt wanna fight is not. doubly so when you're pounding him on the ground

please emery return to obscurity in some other shitty league Its ok because they are in philly. I guess... Emery is a tough guy. Washington shoudlve sent him a skater like the sabres did once after Emery kicked Biron's ass lol. They should value goaltending skills over the brawling skills imo. It gives you a better chance of making the playoffs. Mental stability is also an important asset ( LOL @ Mason - Emery ). For the 20k Flyers faithfuls at the arena last night that fight was probably the highlight of the evening too.
Apparently, the crowd actually got quiet as Emery beat the fuck outta Holtby*or so says another dude I read elsewhere*. That should say something about the whole thing.

i felt so bad during the game last night as it panned to a young kid holding a sign that said "this is my first flyers game". having to see Ray Emery become a disgrace to hockey and a once great club in Philly be carted off the ice on life support.

so...Leafs about ready to buy out Clarkson
|
How nice of them to start the game at 4PM for all to see these leafs lmao.

Emery with the 14 save shutout. :D

thats what happens when u pay a soon to be 30 year old 3rd liner 5.25M
edit: for 7 years..

I don't think Leafs fans realize how lucky they are to have 2 good goalies. That Van/Tor game could have easily been 10-0. Toronto never had the puck.
If you don't believe me watch the Detroit/Edmonton game. Edmonton will never have the puck and Detroit will probably score 6+ because we don't have a good goalie

edit2: I like this Rick Ball's play by play. Very good. To bad they won't keep him for the 2nd game because thats Jim Hughsons gig

Coach Dan Bylsma indicated Neal remains week-to-week and is limited to working out off the ice for now, Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Spin: Bylsma said that he hopes to see some progression in Neal's activity during the upcoming week, but the forward doesn't appear to be on the cusp of a return to the ice. He's been out since suffering the injury in the first period of the Penguins' Opening Night game Oct. 3. what is wrong with Neal?
|
$ on concussion. if it is upper body and never stated, it is always that
|
|
|
So fucking bullshit. I'm losing my work pool because Neal is out. Fuck. Would be second place almost first if he was playing. Fuck
|
me too. if it is a concusion, why did they have him play in the pre-season and 3 minutes in the opener? Deadspin reported he got hurt playing waffle ball before the game? If thats really true, that just outright sucks.

Brutal brutal brutal effort by edm. The Edmonton Sun grades the games. Im pretty sure Offence, Defense, Penalty Kill, Power Play and Goaltending will all get a F. Not one single positive too take away. Acton's gonna get a 1 game suspension, Belov and Bachman got hurt.
Terrible.

Yeah, I stopped watching in the first period, drank myself into a less sad state, and grinded games on LoL.
<_<
Its just not worth it anymore.

Ference just told HNIC straight up, the boys aren't following the system.
Well thats fucking great.
Why even have a coach.

Bertuzzi's 21 career goals against Edmonton are the most he has scored in his career against any team. So weird to see that of Morrisson, Naslund, Bertuzi, its Bertuzi who is still in the league.
