Inca on the other hand is a little less known and when you see an unknown player cheese, i mean do a timing attack, you draw the conclusion of a bad player. Except people always say zergs are great when they do 2 base timings and always call terrans/protosses bad when they do the same especially if they do it vs zerg. Please, people including Idra will flame someone like July for going for baneling busts and roach/ling all-ins against Terran.

But of course I expected Nestea to win, and like many others, I'm going to pretend the finals was actually Nestea vs Sc, which was a godlike series, culminating in the godlike final game. of godliness.

I feel he just choked after game 1 heavily. Either way, this does continue the great trend of very underwhelming GSL finals Um the fact that he dragged his win rate from a very low percentile to a very high percentile is far more impressive on the short term. But the finals where very underwhelming. I'm really sad that Inca couldn't at least pick up 2 games.

How many drones did loose nestea on the whole final? like 5? One hatchery got cancelled on the last match (when nestea was about to take 7-8 bases...), and thats it!, he didnt even loose building on the other matches. For me the "real final" of this GSL was NesTea vs SCFoU (damn that kid is amazingly g00d!)

I do, however feel sorry for Tasteless and Artosis, having to make a complete one-sided face smashing look exciting. Yet another Code S finals which was a non event. You could just feel the frustration coming from them. DT's yet again? Cmon Inca. Anyway, Nestea is beast.

Inca is an amazing player... bad days happen, nerves etc... I bet your bronze ffs...

Except people always say zergs are great when they do 2 base timings and always call terrans/protosses bad when they do the same especially if they do it vs zerg. There's a slight difference mainly because of how the all-ins are executed. It's who is executing said cheese and how they're doing it. For instance, BitByBit and Rain are both PoS cheesers because it is all they're capable of doing. Every game, they go in ready to pull off their next premeditated cheese. They're not capable of successfully playing a mid-game, forget a late-game. I don't recall anyone really raging about 2 base marine/tank pushes since they can be held pretty easily as long as they're scouted. The only 2 base aggression that I could see QQ is the 2 base 10 rax reactored marine aggression. I don't really have a problem with Inca because his "cheese" is usually pretty well thought out and fun to watch; he's not trying to exploit anything, he's just hyper aggressive and wants to win before a mid-game. You can say what you want about his skill level -- or lack thereof -- but the guy does whatever it takes to win. For some reason, I just hold a distinction between a 4 Gate VR rush and a 2 Rax SCV all-in; the latter is just infuriating while the first seems entertaining in a way. And then you have the Zergs. You can't really compare JulyZerg to these guys. He doesn't really do premeditated cheese aside from a 6 pool every now and then just to throw his opponents off. His all-ins are reactionary and based him realizing that he's ahead of his opponent and can just go f*cking kill him. Losira? The guy loves 2 base timing roach/sling aggression, but guess what? He's usually not all-in, taking bases, and getting himself to 90 drones while it's going on. Nestea would never cheese, but seems to have added hyper aggression to his arsenal this season. You can't really hate the guy for it because he used to be the Korean version of Idra: safe, standard, macro-intensive play. He needed to transcend himself, and he's accomplished it in my books. Now, everyone has to be scared of anything and everything when facing him. The other Zergs (Check, TheWind, Zenio, Kyrix, etc.) just aren't...good? You don't see them cheese much, nor do they really play a solid macro game. I prefer to just forget they exist.

I mean, how many times have you seen scrubs in lower leagues cling to words that Idra or Nestea say about zerg imbalance when they lose, even when its clear that these players are just terrible and their loss had nothing to do with balance. But they just keep quoting Idra rants, or Nestea interviews. It definitely is a sly and smart way to go about it to prevent spreading the notion that your race is OP, but mannnn I don't like these silly balance politics that all the players play... T_T Interesting, While I do agree that lower level players cling to the word of pros too much; Nesteas victory over Inca was 1 part "being a better player" and second part "finding a great timing". It didn't help that Inca used the same build for the first 3 games. The DT build was tailored to counter roach - ling aggression vs 3 Gate expands. And I'm sure its quite popular over there at the IM house when protoss players help Nestea practice. But you are right, going for it 3 games in a row when your opponent has clearly anticipated it is like beating your head against a brick wall. The only other option is a void ray opening, kinda wish Inca mixed it up and tried that. But yeah, Nestea the FAR better player. I find it interesting that you are so sure that VR and DT is the only counter against this roach aggression which is only popular for 2-3 weeks now (since losira beat alicia). Have you ever thought about the possibility that there are other ways to stop it (which have to be found)? I mean the 3 gate sentry FE was considered as absolutely safe for several months. And then Losira found a way to beat or at least to heavily disturb it. And now 2 weeks later you say there is no other way. 3 weeks ago you had told everyone that 3 gate FE is safe. So, let's wait and see. I agree though that it was not to be expected from InCa to find a way before the final (especially as he often stresses that he doesn't watch the builds of other players). I don't know if anyone noticed but Nestea played a very concise push timing hitting at 7:50. The most builds I know hit at 8:10. So, it's possible that InCa hadn't met that before. Overall, I don't think DTs is that good a choice. Even though Artosis and Tasteless seemed so impressed by nesTea it's actually quite easy to scout. If P has 2 gas and almost no sentries, make evo chamber. U either need it for VR or DT. So.... I would believe finding better Sim Cities adding cannons may help. Let's wait and see.
