Hyperbole doesn't help your point (if you have any.) NASL is flawed but when you take a step back from your computer and think about it, it's actually fairly watchable with some good games here and there. Honestly I think they don't need to change much aside from some technical errors.

Tip #1 Keep being Awesome, you guys have a great base and seem to only improve! #2 Don't listen to the exaggerated insane whining and bitching in LR threads its almost as bad as PvZ balance whine..... #3 Maybe try sprucing up the studio a little bit, since you don't have crowds and live players try throwing in a little colour or something flashing! It's amazing how shiny things entertain people!
I love how fast you guys are to respond/fix mistakes and constantly improve, the interaction with the community is great I'm really excited to see how far this can go

ok well i was watching the stream last night, and at the end of the sen game, once the in-between screen came on, the commentators thought the mics had been turned off and started flaming sen. I think gretorp said "sen sucked dude, he was playing like idra". Pretty awkward! Its not the slip up of leaving the mic on that gets me more than obviously displaying some personal beef that he has with idra, I dono, it just felt really nonprofessional to me. Let me put it this way, tastosis the casting archon would never ever have done that, and i know they might not be the best players, but they are by far the most professional commentators.

A word of advice to the NASL owners regarding banning people on their chat channel:
First and foremost, as a business that wants to gain paying customers, you are held to a different standard and customers expect a different level of service from you. There are many subscribers to your channel that have been banned (permanently) for trivial reasons such as complaints about your service. Let's work out the math for you:
Banning customer from your chat channel = loss of $25 for the next season Banning potential customer from your chat channel = potential loss of $25 for the next season
As a business, you need thick skin and should not be banning customers for trivial reasons, especially customers that are legitimately complaining about your product/service because your product/service does have issues at this point. Furthermore, you should not be banning customers without a warning first.
I can guarantee that over the last several days, you have lost 100+ customers from your bans and you've just lost several thousand dollars in revenue heading into the next season (100+ is probably a lenient estimate too, if you've banned several hundred, work the math out on your lost revenue).
You simply cannot mod your channel like all the other channels because paying customers are involved, whereas the other channels are not being run as a business. Paying customers (and even potential customers that may subscribe to NASL) will feel resentment when you ban them for even things like a simple humurous remark about the NASL. As in any business, the customer is always right.
My suggestion? I suggest you de-mod your current moderators that are not direct employees of NASL. Any mods that remain must be trained to issue bans properly. For instance, warnings should be issued before a premature ban. Your mods should also have thick skin, as they represent the NASL. Recruiting untrained mods that ban randomly and ban for trivial reasons will hurt your subscribers - I can guarantee this. Also, not being able to take criticism in the channel or simple humor in the channel on the NASL/commentators is hardly tolerant for a professional company that depends directly on subscriptions (again, don't compare yourself to the average chat channel because you are dealing with real customers this time).
My friends and I were banned because we complained about the level of service on the channel - we had legitimate complaints because we are paying customers. Rest assured, my friends and I are unhappy with the reasons we were banned and we will be happy to discontinue our subscription in season 2 because the channel is being moderated unprofessionally and by random mods that do not issues warnings and cannot take even the mildest criticism of obvious flaws with the NASL.

Chat was pretty interesting today lol. I was watching it more than the games at times because the amount of ip banning in chat was crazy, and a lot of them weren't offensive at all. Like "Cali people wake up baked because of all the weed in the air" got a ban. Someone got banned for saying "Why is the quality so bad? >_>" or "stream is bad". The NASL stream now defaults to 240p, that's why many people were questioning the quality of the stream, or thought the free stream downgraded.
The mods punished chatters for anything that was slightly perceived as negative towards the NASL with a permaban (you can tell if it is an ip ban if you see no timeout on the top left the stream) and at times, with a time out. Paid viewers were also getting banned for expressing their dislikes of certain things like the commentating. I'm not sure if this is the way to mod the chat or wanting people to like NASL or buy a premium ticket.

Exactly. NASL just lost alot of revenue in their next season. They will know when the subscription numbers drop off a cliff in the next season. Unfortunately for the NASL, since this is a business, getting customers to subscribe is alot harder than losing customers. It's apparent that the owners of NASL don't realize this and sadly, once they do realize this, they may not get these same customers back.
The NASL has no idea how hard it will be to get these same customers to return once they have pushed them away. All because their channel is run unprofessionally with unprofessional and untrained mods.
Why the NASL even gives mod status to untrained mods is perplexing in the first place. For 100% of other businesses out there, they interview candidates properly and go through a selective hiring process to find the best customer representatives that can best handle customers. They then train these customer representatives further on how to deal with customers. Probably 90% of the mods on the NASL channel are not well equipped to deal professionally with real customers (or they really don't care about NASL's bottom line and ban indiscriminantly anyways).

+ Show Spoiler +
I think you hit the nail on the head. NASL is a business, trying to sell a product, but they didn't do their homework first and bit off more than they can chew.
To NASL staff : Watch your own show. Do you think it's OK? Do you like the sound quality? Can you hear the game sounds? How does it compare to TSL (which is also not run by a bunch of professionals)?
Why don't you do something about it BEFORE you broadcast it? In the earlier shows did you not realize the sound normalization was so bad? Did you not see the color saturation/gamma was way off? Didn't you notice you keep leaving out the production tab? It should not take thousands of post on TL to inform you those things. You should have seen it while you were producing and editing the show! I know you guys are not professionals but you know what it good and what it not because you watch GSL, MLG, TSL etc. If you know it is not good enough why broadcast it without fixing it first?
I feel that NASL is not holding itself to the highest standards. It started with the Clash of the Titans show. Why release something subpar only to make yourself look bad? Why not fix all the issues first?
I am sorry if I am being too harsh. I really wish NASL succeeds because of what it could potentially offer. But first they must stop making excuses for not being able to deliver a superior product. They must say to themselves "I don't like the quality of so and so, I'm not gonna release it until I'm happy with it". If not for the business then at least think "The fans deserve better than this".

Fix the grammar. I paid twenty five dollars, and I get stuck reading little information bits about each player that has atrocious grammar usage. Find a current employee that passed a freshman level english class and has some knowledge of comma splicing, please.
Boxer outmacros his opponents'. He won tournament X, and placed X in MLG Dallas.
Two examples off the top of my head that are pretty bad for a paid service.

I wasn't there to read the chat but i like it if a channel is strictly moderated and would not pay if it wasn't moderated harshly. What does "Cali people wake up baked because of all the weed in the air" have to do with the games or NASL? It's pure trolling... And if you want to complain, there are many better ways than the Chat. If you go to McDonalds and yell "McDonalds Food is horrible", they will throw you out, too.
We want a "TeamLiquid like"-chat, not the "bnet forums"- or even "reddit"-chat...

how about take out the chat function off, that would solve things because right now there's so much whining.
i don't know about certain bans being sent out (like your friends) but it is quite annoying to see excessive whiners in the channel; becomes very annoying when people are trying to enjoy watching the games and conversing about them.
the production is definitely not top notch and will probably need a long time before it does but it doesn't help that complaints are being spammed in chat. It's not really the place for it because the production crew is not going to be scrolling around the complaints in the spammed chat.

Well, i saw most people agree with me, Gretorp must be replaced. To be honest Diggity has better voice, he know how to cast, more hype and most importantly, he doesnt sound like he is faking.
Nice music would be good between the breaks like GSL. I actually like the music from GSL. Pregame show is feels like forever. Too long, i would rather 5 min before the each match up, and 2-3 minutes to discuss about the last game after it ends.
And so many times, they loss focus and missed some stuff, i see action on mini map, but sometimes they catch it too late.

As someone who paid for the pass for watching the VODs, that has ultimately been a waste of money because the site is not designed to be spoiler free and VODs seem to be missing for games that happened / were recorded 5 days ago. 4.) Stream has been ridiculously unstable. I'm not a genius when it comes to streaming, but how is it that I have problems watching the NASL stream on 480 without lag with 13k viewers, but can watch say Idra's stream which will get up to like 8k viewers and I can watch that on Best. Since the games are pre-recorded and pre-commentated (unlike TSL being pre-played, but casted live). Why does it need to be streamed? Why don't you just posted the VODs the day after so we can watch them?
Because live viewers through sites like justin.tv drive ad revenue. Every commercial shown before and between games puts dollars in the pockets of the private owners of the NASL as well as Justin.tv. Its not a lot but if your consistently pulling 20-40k viewers for several hours a day, I'd estimate about $200-400/hr.
I'm basing that math on $4 per commercial for every 1000 live viewers (which I think is what justin.tv pays it could be less.. I don't stream myself so I don't know the exact numbers).
4 commercials per hour would be $16 x 30 (30k avg viewers) = $480/hr
I appreciate sc2 content just as much as the next guy, but don't be naive... the NASL is as much an investment opportunity as it is a sc2 tournament to "grow esports"

I feel that different casters would be better. Not even saying this to be BM, but there are those of us that are good at presentation and public speaking, and those of us that aren't as naturally talented at it. I really do wish Tasteless was casting (but hey he can't cast everything).
I don't like how the two casters are focused about talking about the specific match in between matches. Yeah, its good to talk about it, summarize, mention key points in the match, but honestly I've already heard all the details while I was watching the game as it happened. Its redundant to repeat it. A more casual stance on the casting would be nice (Tasteless and Artosis talk about when they were kids sometimes)... I mean, not all the time, but tid bits like that keep the viewer more entertained.
Like it or not, I'd rather watch KellyMilkies... seriously. (Not that I ever thought she was a bad caster to begin with)

Obviously, you haven't had extensive experience as a customer representative (and if you are one, your company has horrible customer relations). In addition, you obviously haven't run a business before.
Have you switched carriers lately? Because if you have, you would realize that carriers do everything they can to keep you from jumping ship. Don't compare NASL to B.net. Blizzard reps have gone through a proper hiring process and manage their customers 100x better than the amateur mods for NASL do.

It depends on how you complain. A yelling guy annoying all the other customers can cost more than just throwing that guy out and losing this one customer.
I switch carriers often and i'm really annoyed by the "but we don't want to lose you, we even offer you discount"-call, i usually shut down the phone immedatly after canceling the contract.
I don't bother if the mods had no "mod training" as it's actually quite simple. Someone being off-topic or annoying: ban. No warning needed. If someone has genuine complaints, he should use the proper channels, the chat is for discussion about the games. Not stream quality, not casting quality, not SC2 balance, not the size of your imaginary girlfriends chest nor the amount of weed in california. Everyone who doesn't understand that is just annoying the other paying customers and might stop them from paying next season.
Paying might make you king, but even kings have to obey to the church rules - or in this case the NASL rules.

This quote right here shows why you don't know how to manage customer relations and how to run a business. Come back and think about why all carriers do this and why the ones still in business do this successfully.

I just want to say that you guys are doing a fantastic job. One thing I would love is a more colorful scenario since there is no live audience to hype the matches(not Bozo the clown colorful but right now its kinda bland)
I don't have many issues with the stream, only some choppiness here and there but its more on my side than yours.
Ahh, about the production tab thing, you guys should look into that, personally I don't like it because it ruins surprise in a game but many people like it ...so maybe make a poll?
I think I will probably shell out the 25 bucks when I can. And yeah, while I have not seen the chat you guys should probably try to avoid banning unless they are just being offensive on the chat,And yeah that means taking in all the complaints like a champ

I'd just disable the chat altogether since it's nothing more than trolling. There's a LR thread here and they have their own forums also to leave comments in. Meebo just lags people also so it would be a good thing on that point also.

Well, to be fair it depends on how you complain. Going to the McDonalds example if my hamburger was undercooked and I complained by swearing and shouting in the middle of the restaurant they do have all the right to kick me out because I am disrupting other clients, same logic can apply to the chat.
If some of the guys complaining are not doing it in at least a semicivilized manner they can and should be kicked out(though I think IP banning is a little too extreme), remember that the public chat is a public forum for many of the users so they should at least try to keep it civil
But yeah mostly you are right, they can just be doing stuff like that just they found them annoying. The mods need to be a little more professional if they are too trigger happy with the banhammer
