My advice: Chug a beer before every game and have another beer to sip from during the game. The drunker you guys are the better this show will be. Its ok for the casters to be a little hammered if you guys have editing abilities and can cut out the embarressing comments like "gretorp, i love your eyes. They're so like, bright... man..."

All the flack he's gotten from this nasl thing is making him more stressed and enjoying himself less. If you guys enjoy yourselves, we will enjoy listening to you. It doesn't matter what your voice sounds like, IMO, if you're having fun. Ragequit.tv has a caster wif a lifp, but hes great because hes having such a good time casting! Lol that would actually be kinda cool. But in all seriousness, i feel like its very "stiff" casting :/ Chill abit while casting!

I've got one little pet peeve though dearth /dɜrθ/ [durth] –noun 1. an inadequate supply; scarcity; lack: There is a dearth of good engineers. also in chat before game, tell the players specifically which version of the maps you are playing, including important specifics: close spawns are possible! rocks on third, gold mineral only bases in the middle etc A lot of guys are going on auto-pilot and skipping scouting close positions

1. I see(hear) that you've added music - that's good. But don't play the ingame music when a game isn't playing. If I'm near the computer but not watching, I'll be half-listening to the music to tell me if a game has started. 2. I personally like that you have a longer pre-game and short time in-between matches. It's different than GSL, and sometimes I like different, even though I'm quite happy with the GSL. FWIW, I tend to listen to the pregame when catching things live, and skip it if I'm watching VODs. 3. The NASL site is...not as helpful as it could be. If there's no justin.tv stream running, you have no idea how to login. The videos page doesn't mention when videos will appear, the schedule page doesn't mention the rebroadcasts (as I write this, for example, the page says "Live match in progress", but the schedule doesn't mention that - because it's a rebroadcast). It was particularly bad when you were just starting - the videos page was blank save for promotional stuff, the main page didn't say if we'd have to keep reloading to see when things started, etc. I've figured it all out now, but every new (and potential) customer has to learn rather than being guided. Heck, it ALWAYS says "get your HD pass", even though I have. (And though I used the discount code when it first appeared I never saw any sign that it was used. While I'm happy to give you $5 extra this one time (if indeed I did), that's not really how it should work - I should clearly know if my code was or was not correct/applied. 4. Maps. Last night (?) I was listening to iNcontrol basically admit that the tournament maps of other groups (GSL, MLG) are better and more interesting. Methinks declaring that you'll reconsider the idea of using the less interesting versions might be timely. 5. Announcements. I do like that you're being up front about things like WhiteRa, Nanawa, oGsMC, etc. Starting out there will be things like this, and you'll make good and bad decisions. I like that you're being fairly transparent. When your stream is delayed, I like that you say "in an hour" rather than "soon!" (and keep saying that for an hour). 6. Map Name - Please put the map name in your overlay. While I CAN figure it out from the minimap, that's really not needed. (OTOH, while I don't mind you marking starting positions, it holds no interest for me) 7. Sound Quality - yeah, it can be improved. Particularly when you have someone not in the studio. 8. Justin.tv chat - it's terrible. Sure, I turn it off, but Justin.tv doesn't want to remember that, so I have to turn it off every single time. On the flip side, if this is how you get messages to your base, I'll miss them because I can't really sit there and ignore everyone BUT your mods. 9. In between matches - This is a great place to slap up the just-played players and result, and the upcoming players and match number. Just pop an overlay below the casters. THe booth is so interesting that'd be a problem. 10. Production tab. Definitely getting better on this, but still something I want to see as the default if you aren't looking at something specific on the other tabs. Also, Inc will often mention something like "if you check his vision you'll see he didn't spot that" or "look at the unit count", and whoever is running the observer WON'T check that. That's irritating. We wish to obey, but can't. 11. I pay and I love that I don't have advertising. Keep this option. It's appreciated. ( I still can hear "stick a fork in those buns" even now) 12. Justin.tv lag - I've been trying to follow the threads and figure out why NASL -only- give me troubles (at 1080 - 720 works, but I pay extra for a sweet pipe and I love the quality at 1080). It'd be nice if you had people on your side filter through threads and summarize the real helpful bits and stick them on the website. 13. Did I mention that your 1080 is beautiful? Love it.

Stick to your vision. Listen to the feedback, but realize, you're now in the limelight. You actually cannot and should not please everyone. Sticking to your vision will help create the brand that will attract loyal followers. LOL seriously? they have alot of problems right now, they should be coming to the community for help their viewers half halved since they started (wich could just be because the hype is over) but i dont think this league is going to survive very long sitting at 9k viewers. Look how well the TSL does every weekend in comparison. Honestly like ive said before the NASL gives me a headache, the dark dungeon casting room, the unintegrated sound in the background, the at times terrible volume and casting. I payed for it and as a paying customer to me it just seems like a huge disaster so far. The 3 main games i was excited about got canceled not reschechuled , cancelled. They say they have an aggresive broadcasting schedule but if the game doesnt happen 1 day thats time that they should tack on to the next day, or the next week and do the games when they have time during the 2 day break period. Honestly it feels like im paying for a beta product and they are still testing stuff out on the audience, its fine to some degree but if im paying 25 bucks for it , it should be at least somewhat polished, and i just dont get that feeling at all. Anyone else think the intro is really cheesy, the music sounds like its from a kids television show, even if they kept the same intro and added epic music it would be better , intro doesnt seem like it would be that important but it is. Its judging a book by its cover wich alot of people do , and if you start watching and see that intro it just leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth from the very begining.

You guys gotta get this caster thing fixed other organizations are overshadowing you ALOT in this regard. Get someone that could compliment incontrol well with the right guidance he could be a very good caster. Him and gretorp are quite dissapointing still though and its been a week. For instance its not like torch and doa have had a huge amount of practice together but they are still great, clearly its just not working and i dont think its something thats gonna be fixed with practice.

But, this issue needs to be fixed asap please. This should actually be the primary issue to fix. Yes, it's been a week now since I paid my 25 bucks and I still haven't been able to watch a single VOD. It would be nice of the organizers to at least respond to this request. Are you doing anything about this? Do you care? I understand that everything can't be expected to run perfectly right from the start, and that it takes time & effort to address stuff like this, but writing a response on a forum only takes a few minutes.

I watched the NASL stream for about 10 minutes, after which I quit, because all they did was talk. I don't watch SC2 streams to hear people talk about stuff, I watch them to see some fun games.

The site is still somewhat confusing to me, and a nice sign in that overlays on every page would be great (similar to TL and most other forums). The stream lag is an issue, but I don't know how much you are in control of that. The only other thing I really have a problem with is the occasional breakdown between what the observer is showing us and what the commentators are talking about.

I'm sure big things we will notice on our own, but it's still nice for you to acknowledge what you're doing, at least imho.

The moment you enter the public, and start letting public reviews/opinions affect you, you can begin to fester doubt in your vision and end up compromising the integrity of the project while trying to appease people. This can be very bad, and I'm just giving thm a heads up (reminder). Attempting to appease you, and you, is the wrong move in the long run.
