Just thought I'd say something else aswell since I'm sure the casters are reading this;
Take the critique you get here and use it together will all the other factors that they themselves are aware of (like tough casting enviroment, sleep issues and travel issues etc) and see where the critique meets the other problems and kind of accept that the different factors made things even harder, but still try to find some bits of truth in what they read and see where it can be improved on.
People will just provide opinions here, and it's important to thin out what can be more true and what is just a opinion based upon what has been seen and not taking all factors into consideration.

My biggest criticism I would give is that right when the games were over the two of you would stop talking immediately and there wasn't much talking right after the match up until the next one. Obviously this probably is due to all of the energy it takes to make sure you guys can get into the next game so that's understandable. I would just say a quick recap of the entire game with some talking points you guys have prepared for in between matches. Hope that's a little helpful but overall I thought you guys did a great job and I appreciate the effort you guys put into broadcasting the tournament.
And great job to TheBeard for all the things he did behind and in front of the scenes.

We actually couldn't see or hear what was on stream. So we didn't know when we were still on, when the music would hit or what people were seeing. It was a production issue in that there was no audio mixer and we couldn't get yet another screen. Something I'll definitely put in the lessons learned report.

I'm curious, what made you guys switch from ustream to justin.tv? Maybe this was covered earlier in the thread but I loved the ustream sites and don't see why justin.tv is better or anything.
Love the coverage and the casters though!

I believe TheGunRun found out that j.tv allows some neat things to happen behind the curtains on j.tv which ustream does not allow. Also it's rated by the majority to be superior. I love the multi resolution options.

anyone else thinks gunrun has a similar voice as Christian Slater? Everytime i hear him i immediately picture slater talking haha :D

Props to girl caster, really excellent game knowledge, says interesting things, which that guy caster does not even get lol What's her nick?

Agreed Alpina, excellent casting by any standards. Good mix of analysis, prediction and explanation. More please! : )

Really liking the current casting, actually doesn't send me to sleep like the last couple of casters I heard on this stream.

Holy moley BW terran music.

Just watching Gunrun 'being a better caster daily' and will try to offer some constructive criticism.
Make a conscious effort not to say 'like' 'uh' 'um'. Don't combine these these words with 'yeah' and don't use 'yeah' randomly in sentences. I notice 'so...yep' is a bad offender also. If you feel yourself about to say any of these words, replace it with silence instead and then move on to your next thought. Over time your brain will fill in the silence with something more useful.
Deliberately enunciate your words. Doing this will naturally force you to speak slower. Talking faster doesn't mean more hype but instead you usually end up slurring and stumbling over your own words. You can create just as much tension being slow and deliberate by putting emphasis on the words.
SC2 related: To fill the dead space during the start of every match, you could give some info about the players (nationality, play style, ladder rank, etc)
You seem to be good friends with DJWheat. Ask him about pacing and flow. Anyways glhf

Idiotic commentary. "Why 2 warp prisms, omg?"
Obvious answer is so one can warp in units and the other can pick up and drop the immortals. It's not that hard to work out :/

Should point out upgrades a bit sooner imo. It got pointed out sometimes for the mutas but that was it.
E: a bit of context, this is about the RG Open, especially the later games.

Really like the custom maps gameplay, really enjoyable.

Hey guys, this is Eleine Sun, the commentator who has been working with TheGunRun frequently for the past few weeks for Craft Cup, Zotac, Assembly, TSL Open, Millenium Cup, etc. Posting here since several people were wondering who I am. I can be found on twitter at @Eleine_Sun.

If anyone can give me direct links to specific VODs I would be grateful.

Almost all of my work has been with GLHF.tv so you can find a lot of my stuff there. Most of the recent craft cup coverage as well as Assembly Winter vods at GLHF2. Gunrun just posted a link to today's casts.
