casting was really bad imo, i enjoyed the german en polish stream more even though i don't speak those languages. i really hope next lan glhf wont be the only english streamers there.

edit: props to Beard for the production though.

Martijn was ok imo, Maven was really bad, his negativity late yesterday ruined the cast completely, sure he was tired but that was very unprofessional. Thebeard was awesome and so was the music!

The Beard's production and interviews were really great, but there were some echo on his mic, but that was just a minor problem.

Agreed. It sort of pisses me off to see that awesome production by thebeard get ruined by horrible casting. Martjin was ok(usually he is awesome and one of my favourite casters) and maven was something a lot worse...

I usually do not flame on casters that I listen too, but I actually could not watch GLHF Tv.
I instead watched Khaldor the German caster (and I don't speak any German).
The casting was TERRIBLE. They knew almost nothing about the game. "Morrow has a 1 drone lead, idk what this means for the game" was a common occurrence. Casters cannot be casting the Finals of a Tourney and not know what is happening. I think if they just did more of a Shout Cast, they might do ok. But with the informative style they were trying to pull off, it failed hard.

Sorry guys, I don't mean to be a dick, but that cast definitely needs to improve.

I hope to see a improvement in the future! GL

Though for the Beard, the production was amazing. I hope next time, can have some better casters so you're production can really take off!

I would have loved to see TheBeard actually casting. His effort to keep everything up and running, filling the time between games was sooo huge! Excellent! As the others are complaining about the casting, i have to say, their synergy was awfull. A team should work together, not discussing things live on the stream. Also, Maven seemed to be pretty new to casting, as his kind of speaking was not entertaining, rather boring O_O. This really dissapointed me. It caused me to switch over to Khaldors stream. Hopefully we get to see TheBeard&Martijn next time !

I would agree with most of the arguments posted. The production level wos really high: Map, Location Preview with Webcam on to the casters, smooth transitions with intro video. In addition to that backup caster / entertainer (the beard), who takes over if there is a break. So besides those tech. problems during the match for rank 3-4 I would say the production value was high, compared to maybe other LAN streams.

On the other hand the casters were really disappointing and were not able to highlight tension when needed. Of course we have to keep in mind that after casting 10-12 hours in a row it gets hard to bring a lot of emotions into the cast, but still compared to other casts it was all in all a poor performance...

Some weeks ago I talked shit about TakeSen&Tod casting some matches, but compared to GLHF#1 they were of day9 quality

These GLHF guys really need to work on their casting skills.

I don't really care about excitement like many others seem to. But the actual knowledge of the game from these two casters was really bad. They were totally clueless at all times and you just get annoyed by it. That's why I like artosis, tasteless and day9; they actually know what they're talking about.

Edit: Props to thebeard though, he was awesome as always.

Also got to agree with the majority that I really dont think that the casting was quite what you would expect for an event like this, but id love to have The Beard involved again, really nice production from him. I also enjoyed the music =).
And Id also would love to see more casting from Eliene, seems to have really much knowledge and understanding of the game.
