Additionally, it was great production value from TheBeard, especially since it was just him producing AND it was actually on-location. I look forward to seeing him produce more SC2 casts. | ||

People seem to be extremely intolerant to casters who aren't omniscient, which I may point out, no one is, and it's real sad to see that people can't appreciate what they're getting. I was perfectly fine watching the GLHF#1 cast up until the unfortunate disconnect on that epic Grubby game, and I switched to Khaldor's stream, despite not knowing any German, for the rest of the event because he just seemed to be so in to the games he was casting, especially when a fellow German was playing. Perhaps you'd've been more energetic if it wasn't for the exhausting ordeal of travelling, as I heard Maven's story of how he got to Assembly was quite tiresome, but what I felt was mostly lacking was the excitement factor. I mean Khaldor was sitting in a comfy office chair and probably lives very close to where he does his casting. Comparing that to the chairs usually provided at major LAN events, being away from all the comforts of home, travelling, sleeping in hotels (or on a concrete floor) it all adds up, unfortunately. The production was very professional and tip-top, so major props to thebeard and his works on the production side. | ||

Less ranting, more good casting and she's gonna be a eSport Spear! She's good for eSports for all obvious reasons .Gunrun is Gunrun, he has the voice but that's it. His knowledge and way of prestenting whatever he wants to present during combat or when there's a lul just comes out wrong... He worked well with Eleine though since she was upholding his problems very well. the GLHF#1 commentating was not the best (didnt watch any with TheBeared so can't say much about him) - Imo Maven is a pretty poor commentator regardless of sleep issues or not (it surely made the "bad" commentating worse though). It just felt that the commentating was all over the place, out of place and yeah well, it was just awkward at times. I understand that sleep and other issues makes it harder to cast, and I'm not judging completly based on that. It's just my opinion about him as a caster, and not a person . Seems like a cool guy. Production was great though. Thanks for all the coverage regardless btw, it is very appreciated! | ||

I mean the whole SC2 casting business is very new and the game is still very new. It should be pretty obvious that some people will succeed and some will not, and that is down to what people like. You can't just start doing something and think that just because you are "now into it" you should have everyones respect and everyone should like you. That's never gonna be the case. If you're bad you're bad, if the majority thinks so they will let you hear it (Should be done in a more civil and constructive fashion though ofc). People will often provide the argument that those that like it usually don't speak up and all you hear is the negative feedback and while I can agree to some extent that it can be true it sure isnt universal in any way otherwise there wouldnt be a mention of Day9 in pretty much every fucking thread on TL saying how awesome he is. He's obviously doing something right and people like it. One thing I think that most people should realise - casting is very hard and some people, even though you can learn alot, just wont have the "it" factor that you need to be truly succesful. This goes for pretty much anything that needs good performance and acceptance of viewers (like every sport, TV-show, News reports and so on). I love the fact that alot of people are trying it, but with time the bad will be gone, and the good will stay and that is due to how people will react to their performances. So try not to be scared, and be prepared to accept alot of critique and learn from it, and then you'll notice if you're cut out to be a caster or not .Just my 2 cents though | ||
