I don't see him winning against ZergBong at all. I've read something similar after the Foxer played in the first round. I wouldn't count him out based on that one series.

Boxer's been at the top of the Korean ladder for a while now. It seems a bit strange that FD wouldn't know anything about his style unless he just made it up for the season 2 of gsl.

FruitDealer got killed by timing pushes he could have perfectly held if he had scouted better or made less tech or drones. He never played his game in the first place and I doubt ZergBong will be caught off guard like that.

Would be overwhelming odds for FoxeR to win in this swarm season but I really hope he can do it. Zergbong was a disgrace in BW and he shouldn't be a GSL champion. :<

Of course it is not clear at all yet foxer will be doing his marine style. For all we know he might be mixing it up with some hellion/thor play or whatever. Both players getting so much preparation time for the finals makes it really difficult to predict.

A player of his calibre would probably be better off playing against his team or other teams.

It's a well know fact he's at the top of the ladder. Artosis and Tasteless have even mentioned it in the casts. There is no speculation here.

I don't see him winning against ZergBong at all. The only games that Kyrix won were the ones with baneling busts. As Foxer said himself, he never encountered Kyrix's level of aggression before. Foxer was rank #1 Korean ladder for considerable amount of time, so he encountered his share of baneling busts and all in aggressions. Foxer responded correctly to baneling bust every single time by reinforcing his wall. It's just that Kyrix committed more than any other Zerg would, controlled them better and succeeded where they failed. In term of sheer contest of abilities, Foxer came on top every single time. And if you say "clueless player making only baneling", you are the clueless one. The instantaneous decision making required to maximize the effects of banelings through micro control is not simple at all.

It's one thing to do some general layman's prediction like "I think Nestea's macro will win over Foxer's micro". That's ok, we all do that. But ouright dismissing participants from the RO32 (and later stages of the GSL) as if we'd only be talking about ladder games - that's arrogance speaking. Calling Kyrix a "bad and clueless [...] 2k zerg" (made it to RO8, eliminated by the current finalist) is pure hubris.

He really is that bad, you should watch the games and see how bad he is. He only reached that point because people still don't know how to counter mass banelings and all in strategies that well yet. BoxeR is surely a very good player but I just think he won these games against FruitDealer because everyone knew how he played and FruitDealer had no clue about what BoxeR was doing. His micro is flawless but his strategies seem somehow not that good.
