Thats right. I suspect they play against each other quite often on the ladder (being in the same division), which means NesTea is fully aware of what Boxer is capable of, his strength, and his weakness. When Boxer was fighting FD, he has the advantage because I don't think FD knows exactly what Boxer is capable of. But NesTea, being number 1 in Boxer's division should have plenty of match up against Boxer and should very well know how Boxer plays.
Advantage NesTea.
Members of the same division do not play each other any more often than other players.
source? I was under the impression that bnet does search for players in the same division before "expanding search" to other divisions
Prepare to watch Foxer abuse the hell out of marines in the Finals.(More than he has in past games) No doubt in my mind he takes it. I just hope the switch in venues and stage doesn't affect him too much.
Here's State of the Game's analysis of the Finals. If you want to hear it, it starts at around 1:36:00 in the cast.
JP: "So tell me what you know about FoxeR, Tyler." Tyler: "Marines."
*IdrA, Day[9], and iNcontroL laughing*
JP: "Okay, so you covered it. Tell me a little bit about NesTea." Tyler: "This will take me three words. Better than Kyrix."
*IdrA laughing*
JP: "Marines versus Better than Kyrix... do you think FoxeR is going to take it, Tyler?" Tyler: "No, no. We're going to have another Zerg champion." JP: "Because he's going to make an infestor?" IdrA: "This doesn't even count... like god damn." iNcontroL: "Look at Greg... Greg's squirming." (Skipping ahead a little)
JP: "So, IdrA, tell me how you feel about the finals." IdrA: "I don't know how it happened... makes me sad." iNcontroL (trying to control his laughter): "He hasn't lost a game."
*entire cast starts laughing hysterically*
iNcontroL: "He hasn't lost a fucking game. I don't know how it happened... he raped everybody." (Skipping ahead a little)
IdrA: "Take a 10% coin and you flip it enough and eventually you'll put 8 in a row together."
* Day[9] laughing like crazy*
Tyler: "Only Zergs have 100% coins at the moment... awesome zergs like" *bursts out laughing* "NesTea." JP: "Man, people are just going to think we're shitting all over FoxeR and NesTea."

This "advantage" applies to both of them. Boxer knows what Nestea is capable of as well, so they're even.
The element of surprise certainly was one of the keys to his success, but not the only one.
Boxer knows NeaTea can play an amazing straight up game.
NesTea knows BoxeR can micro marines well.
I'd say one of them has quite a lot going for him unless BoxeR can catch him off guard by doing something.... different..
Because Boxer clearly got so far in this tournament only because he knows how to control marines, and nothing else.
What's with all these people thinking Kyrix is bad? He impressed me more than any other Zerg in the tournament. Sure he threw mutas away a couple times, but to keep up that level of aggression with that level of macro for so long was crazy to see. The fact that he won the game he completely threw away like 10 mutas makes him even more impressive IMO.
Foxer and Nestea definitely deserve to be in the finals, though. I'm hoping for Foxer but I think Nestea will take it. Just like watching TvZ in GSL1 always "felt like" the Zerg was at a disadvantage, Terran "feels" to be a disadvantage against Zerg in most GSL2 games.
Agreed. Didn't Foxer himself say that if Kyrix got infestors, he would have lost sooner due to not being able to hold off his push during the transition? (Yes I realize he could have been saying this to throw off future opponents, but I really doubt it based on the general tone of his interview.)
Infestors are definitely a good idea but only if there's a window to get them without dying in the meantime.
I can't wait for these games! I'll be happy with either player winning, as long as the games are good.
Sadly not as hyped for this as for the last GSL, or for the next season. But it's always great to get some good games casted by tastosis, and hopefully some interesting builds.

No it searches for people with nearly the exact MMR and then expands the search when it's not possible.
I don't get this...what is happening? Did Foxer just punch Sherlock Holmes to death? WHY WOULD HE DO THAT!?
Like how fans put a nickname before their name (ie. 'Emperor' Boxer), currently Foxer is called the Marine King and Nestea, the Detective. I think Nestea is called the detective because he has been guessing, reading his opponent's play style and thoughts very well from a very little evidence and scouted info.

Hahaha I like how DuskBin Team SeleCT and Sen are also in the same division as BoxeR and NesTea. I hope to see F91 SeleCT and Sen in the upcoming GSL seasons!! Top teir foreigners ftw!!
