Foxer couldn't handle the baneling busts. He needed all high hp buidlings to block or multiple bunkers behind each other.

After a day to think about it I'm even more irritated with Foxer. I hope Blizzard weakens cheese even more.

Welll the cheese ended up backfiring, so I'm not sure there's a need for any balance changes.

Yeah really pplkeep saying that Foxer is a cheeser, and it disturbs me alot. Foxer is not a cheeser, he is a solid player. I think he lacked some selfconfidence yesterday since he didn't belive that he could kick NesTea in a midgame-lategame. I think he should have ripped him apart with marine/tank build in mid game but whatever. You cant really blame him for all in on set 7 either. It was the BEST map for an all in double raxx SCV push with that spawning locations. And Nestea even went for 14 hatch. Every good terran player out there would have done the same, especially with boxers macro.

And for the unbalanced whining I think you need to get a life guys. No Terran obviosly don't need to be nerfed, they allready got quite some nerfs since release. And zerg is atm probably equally good as terran in my opinion. 2 GSL finals, 2 zerg wins. They are a good race. Obviosly toss would need some buffs ( yeah nerfing zealots isn't helpfull either to be honest, holy crap blizz) They are easy to play, but don't have the potential that terran and especially zerg has.

So stop the bullshit, and enjoy good quality pro games, SC 2 is just a great game!!

You know the feeling when your football team is heading into overtime, and you're watching the coin flip?? Very exciting, very important, but devoid of anything substantive? That's the best way I can describe my reaction to this series.

I was hoping for chess, I got checkers.

It's also one of the best spots in the game for a terran to win with a strait up game or timing push that is NOT a all-in cheese.

well, i was rooting for nestea and i was actually on the tip of my chair the whole series. i really wanted him to win, so i got nervous every game because i knew that marine bunker cheese was coming and wasnt sure if he could defend it or not

Tester, Slayers_BoxeR, NaDa etc. I think you know what i'm implying here.

Keke, I wan Flash to switch over

Now I watch SC2, but my favourite player is still Flash.
2nd is Foxer, then BoxeR.

Hmm...I'm not sure I like FoxeR more or BoxeR.. Need to see Season 3 performance

If your favourite player is Flash you should definitely check out his recent games. What a domination by the kid.

I have a question.
I've been following a lot of the GSL but I've never understood what the numbers next to the players race mean? It's up at the top of the screen during games. For example in this final games it said T11 and Z5. Anyone able to help me out with this?

Thanks in advance.

lol, are you for real?

the T and Z mean the race.
T stands for Terran
Z is for Zerg
P would be for Protoss

the 11 and 5 mean the starting positions on the map based on a clock like interpretation
12 is 12 o clock, or north, or up
6 is 6 o clock, or south, or below
3 and 9 are east and west or right and left

so T11 is means Terran starting north-northwest and Z5 means Zerg starting south-southeast

edit: ofc its redunant, colors alone would also do the trick, but so what...
All what KT currently needs is a Zerg and a second Terran

Saved these for the afternoon yesterday so my friend and I could watch them together. Absolutely loved these games. I thought it was gonna be a 4-0 after the first two matches, but NesTea pulled through. Awesome stuff

Also, I love that despite the whole "NesTea will win if he makes just one Infestor" thing that was going around the forums, he did it without them.

Yeah I'm for real

I new what the TPZ stood for it was the numbers I was wondering about. Remember that I asked for what the numbers next to the players race meant?

Does make perfect sence now that you explained it for me.

So thank you for that.

<3 Foxer--really nice aggressive playstyle...make the games more entertaining. Cant wait for GSL3! Hope to see more Players use this aggressive Style to get advantages.
I dont care if it is a Terran or Toss...^^

Only bad thing about this GSL was..that i never could get a spot on GOM Tv for watching games..since everything was flooded. Thank you for the streams on TL!

meh just watched the games, really thought boxer was gonna win.. but NesTea deserved it, because it seemed like BoXeR was scared to to a long game with him.

I was rooting for BoxeR but when NesTea got crushed in the first 2 games I was kind of hoping he'd have a better game 3. Not disappointed. I still wish Boxer won but I think Nestea deserved his win. Awesome drone surround in game 7. But you know what they say about losing. I bet BoxeR (OP now) will be sicker in GSL 3. Can't wait.

Agreed!

Why wouldn't Boxer attack when a marine-SCV push is more likely to succeed then fail against a certain build? Even Artosis said Z can't 14 hatch, then pool after because Z will die to a early T push, as was shown in shakuras plateu, which was even further away than the last set in metalopolis. NesTea just got lucky w/ a drone surround.

Translator John owns:

"First of all I'd like to say I have a great respect for NesTea not just because he won the tournament but because this guy had the courage to do what he wanted to do and proved he was right.I'm saying this because too many people even in Korea consider playing games is a waste of time.I, myself, was unemployed for 2 years *laughs*, bout a year and a half before I joined GOM.All I did was play games at home and my friends would say that I'm wasting my life.Well...uhm..who's laughing now ?. I asked them " Can you honestly say that you like your job " and I asked them " Do you have a fan who draws a fanart just for you ? ". That shuts them up.

So everytime you feel ashamed of being a nerd and your friends, teachers, neighbours and even parents think gaming is a waste of time you'll remember there's no such thing as wasting life as long as you have the courage to do what you like and be passionate about it.You'll remember , if NesTea listened to all those critics he wouldn't be standing there with a trophy and you'll remember that even if you feel nobody around you supports you that I, Jay, Artosis and Tasteless, everyone in GOM will support you.Why ? Because we believe in esports."

Encouraging nerds to pursue their dream in progaming is like encouraging black kids to play basketball, ultimately not the way to go. It's nice to see people like bongboy here do it, but be realistic.

While i love john, sc2, esports and nestea, i have to say taking 10 years to get a payout of 87k isn't 'that' great, considering getting a proper profession/career you can earn it in 1 year.

I know their are a lot more hopeful Progamers out there in Korea aiming for their dream but 95% of them won't get anywhere.

That's why there are salaries in BW.

Yeah, but even the salaries in BW are limited. Only people like Flash and Jaedong are really getting the big bucks unless you are icons/"bonjwas" like Nada/Boxer.

Majority of the BW pros are getting paid kibbles 'n' bits.
