I still can't find the official source for this, and I have serious concerns with roach armor down to 1. I predict tons of 6 pool vs 14 hatch in zvz.
Hopefully my current (roachless!) zvt / zvp builds don't suffer too much from the Hydra nerf.
Burrow is now even less attractive with roaches, which means that the only way to use them is just massing tons of them. Not what people want I guess.
I guess I don't care about the Void Ray changes.
tvz and pvz those strong pushes we already had are going to rape hard now.

I feel like I've been trolled

Anyway, its weird that they nerfed roach and marauder without nerfing the immortal as well. Will probably see protoss dominating with early all-ins till next patch. I wonder how the void ray will fare against queens now?

does this mean storm can kill hydras in 1 hit?

it's interesting to note that even tho lings are way stronger now vs roaches, they still need to get a decent surround on them to be effective. so on maps like say metalopolis, you can put 2 roaches on the ramp and then create walls of roaches between the map wall + hatchery and between mineral field + hatchery and zerglings will still have a hard time

Yes, the do 1 more damage against buldings. When fully charged. Until that, they do less damage against buildings. And since the level 2 damage is gone, they will do less damage for a longer time, before jumping up to the new high damage.
Might not be a big deal, but could affect the possibility of doing quick CC/Hatch snipes I guess.
But sure, the new damage vs light might mean they are more useful in regular battles, will be nice to test.

They cost a lot more and has less armor, clearly a nerf. Their damage is reduced quite a bit initially (against armored) and it takes longer for it to get to a higher tier damage. Also, upgrades used to quadruple due to how charges increased, now it's only double. The damage was neither increased nor decreased. It was increased in some scenarios but decreased in others. Together with the armor and heavy cost nerf I'd call it an overall nerf, however.
what the FUCK are you talking about? I hardly consider 50 additional minerals "a lot more". Also, now with only 2 attacks, they will charge up even faster.
Oh and learn to read, they DO do more damage.

if the patch notes on the OP are real, there's absolutely no reason to play Z anymore.

Personally if the hydra/roach shit is true. Zergs early/mid game sucks dick against toss.
if the patch notes on the OP are real, there's absolutely no reason to play Z anymore. Quoted for the truth

Patch notes on voidray: Changed to only have 2 damage levels instead of 3. Still takes the same amount of time to fully charge.

Yeah totally agree, toss imo got a really nice boost from this patch especially since now their immortals are even stronger.
edit... uh so now that hydras and roaches are weaker what is zerg going to primarily make? add more banelings and lings to their mix? christ they need that lurker zerg is so damn boring atm.

No, they still are just underpowered. Immortal still completely nullifies mech. T will still have to bioball agaisnt P, only now it'll be harder.

even then, its 50 fucking minerals more and they do more damage to units (queen anyone?)

Finally fucking marauders are not the most infuriating unit in SC2.

i have to say im disappointed at not seeing any other changes to zerg, like the infestor. but i guess theyre still working/struggling with it. or possibly content with it which i really hope not. i'm not actually that concerned about the other nerfs

loooooool marauder oh man what a patch.
edit: oh damn that void ray nerf just killed my thoughts of a new PvP followup.
