I know in the states people just flush it, but if you go south its mostly bin. That's a generalization. As a Hispanic I've never encountered this. As people have stated It's counter-productive. The smell will stink up your bathroom and eventually your house if you don't empty the bin daily.
edit: Asked 5 other Hispanic friends of mine. Bin is a no go.

You're also mighty bad at using spoilers.

I never knew bin was an option. This blog has blown my mind.
Honestly though, assuming your plumbing isn't absolute crap, is there any reason why you wouldn't flush it? Using the bin creates more garbage that you have to take out, and I'd imagine that the smell is nothing to scoff at if the toilet paper keeps accumulating...

omg can't imagine the smell if everyone threw it in teh bin -_-

I share an apartment with two bathrooms and 5 other people. One of them is a binner. Trust me when I say the smell in that bathroom is utterly vile. I use the bathroom all the way down the hall just because i cant stand the smell of the shitbin one.

Throwing skid marked toilet paper into a bin? LOL That is disgusting.
Forget it stinking up the bathroom, that is so unhygienic.

wtf why would you use a bin you'd have a goddamn trashcan with poop in it why would you want that
|
You are a pretty disgusting person if you do this when you have the option to flush.

best thing is when the very top paper is upside down with a huge chunky shit stain on it
ive seen some people do this, mostly older generation. Often true about hispanics too. Guess plumbers are expensive
kdog never fails to deliver, and no micronesia, this blog has some legitimacy. I assure you!

what the hell binning it is horrible. imagine a bin full of disgusting turds in your bathroom >.<

Ok, for everyone asking if its really an option... It's not. I usually have a hard time just emptying the kitchen bin and was honestly about the throw up just trying to imagine what it must be like tempty that bin.

Please ask this person why he would voluntarily bin toilet paper and the logic behind it. Is he recycling the paper or something?

WHO DA fuck would want to have a bin full of shit papers. smelly, shitty, dirty. :E Why no shit in the bin too then?

No need to move your arm to the right if you flush it.

putting your shit in a bin is like.. peeing in a cup or something

binning is some disgusting shit you're gonna attract flies and shit especially in warmer humid climates
the only reason why you'd not flush it is if your toilet is shit and will clog half the time may as well get a new toilet
shitttt

HAHAHAHAHA.
God this blog is gold. But seriously now, why the FUCK would you bin it? I guess some Hispanic homes might do that because it's their custom, but seriously now what the FUCK? Shit goes in the toliet, not the bin. You already took a shit in the toliet might as well put it in there.
EDIT: micronesia made this thread even more win.

The reason I posted this blog is because at home, I have been conditioned into throwing it into the bin. The reasoning behind this was to not clog the toliet. Now that I am living away from home, none of my roommates 'bin it' so it's really weird seeing that the majority of you guys are flushers.
