Many years ago, the sewage system was not good so putting toilet paper in can sometimes block the tiolet. Nowadays, however, this is no longer a problem. On the other hand, putting used toilet paper in a basket is smelly and can cause many health-related problems. Therefore, you should flush your toilet paper. | ||

Most plants in most of the developed countries are designed to handle toilet paper and toilet paper is designed to degrade in water, so there's no problem with flushing it. Honestly though, assuming your plumbing isn't absolute crap, is there any reason why you wouldn't flush it? Using the bin creates more garbage that you have to take out, and I'd imagine that the smell is nothing to scoff at if the toilet paper keeps accumulating... | ||
