July 20: WardiTV Mondays #96
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/wardimon096.png)
The week began with Clem going on an impressive first place run in WardiTV Mondays, as he defeated Silky, Rogue, Cure, and herO on his way to the title (VOD).
While Clem's run was marked by strong all-around macro play (except a cheeky proxy-Barracks against Cure), his finals opponent herO seemed to be freestyling as he worked his way through the new patch. The newly buffed Colossus helped herO get a game one win, as he opened with fast Colossus-drop harassment and closed the game out with a Colossus-Gateway army. However, herO's other strategies seemed rather undercooked—such as Zealots + Blink DTs, or Phoenix-Colossus into fast Carriers—and Clem took a convincing 3-1 win in the end.

July 20: Monday Night Weeklies #59
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/mnw59.png)
Monday Night Weeklies saw MaxPax rally back from an RO8 elimination at the hands of herO in WardiTV Mondays, taking out cup rivals herO and Clem before defeating Cure in the finals (VOD).
Clem has abandoned PvT and returned to playing TvT in the new patch, but MaxPax showed him you can still play the old hits—namely 4-Gate Blink and 'kill all their SCVs with Zealots during a battle'—in a 2-1 winners' final victory. MaxPax PvT roll continued in the finals as well, as he took down Cure 2-1 by blocking early-game pressure of both the 1-base and 2-base variety.

July 21: PiGosaur Cup #91
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/pig091.png)
PiGosaur Cup was a complete Terran and Protoss-fest, as all top-tier Zergs declined to compete in the tourney. This resulted in a TvT final—a rarity in the previous patch—with ByuN sweeping Cure 3-0 to win the cup (VOD).
The finals began with a traditional Marine-Tank macro game, with ByuN coming out on top after catching Cure sieging up a second too late before a decisive battle. The next two games weren't quite as dramatic, with ByuN taking quick victories by winning an early-game Hellion-Reaper skirmish and catching Cure off-guard with Cloaked Banshees.

July 22: Kung Fu Cup #16
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/KFC2026_16.png)
SHIN got Zerg on the board in the Kung Fu Cup, defeating a strong line-up of players including Zoun, herO, ShoWTimE, and Cure on his way to first place (VOD).
SHIN was mostly untroubled in his 3-0 finals win over Cure, which must have been a nice pick-me-up after a string of recent ZvT losses. The first two games saw Cure fail to apply meaningful pressure with either 2-Barracks Reapers or a Medivac-less Marine timing, after which SHIN had no problem overwhelming his opponent with mid-game macro. SHIN then finished Cure off with a late-game win, where his mobile Muta-Ultra-Baneling army prevented Cure from securing the bases needed for the dreaded Terran attrition victory.

July 25: Korean StarCraft League #90
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/KSL90.png)
2026's cup king herO refused to be shut out on the week, and came out victorious in a special $1000 edition of the KSL (VOD).
herO has has been one of the most entertaining players of the new patch in terms of sheer strategic variety, and he managed to vex Solar on his way to a 3-1 victory in the finals. After taking game one with the mass Void Rays he had favored in previous weeks, he changed things up in the subsequent games with ground-based tactics.
This didn't quite work out for herO in game two, as his Immortal-Chargelot timing was shut down before it even began when he lost his first Warp Prism. However, herO retook the lead in game three by overpowering Solar with a Chargelot-Archon-Immortal force, which succeeded in spite of its relative lack of AOE damage. Finally, herO clinched the series thanks to a quirky no-Glaive, mass-Adept attack, which overwhelmed Solar's Ling-Bane defenses through sheer numbers. herO inflicted enough damage to take a sizeable lead, after which he easily closed the game out with a Colossus-centered army.
