Not related to zerg but as I'm watching this game and trying to go to vod I wonder why there isn't one. roach hydra is a viable comp in every matchup for as long as the game has existed, it's just not considered the best way to play against terran, partially because it's super hard to split army well against drops. too many roaches or hydras at home and your army is weak, too few and the drop kills them for free. also bad scaling into lategame. didn't see the game but if Terran was playing mech then roach hydra is very normal. against bio it's just kinda allin | ||

There's much more lings and banes in your army than hydralisks. there are a lot of different ways to approach upgrades in zvt though. ive seen elazer go +2 carapace before any attack upgrades with hydra bane. and you can make more than ten hydras, just like in zvp it depends what kind of game you want to play and your opponent's composition. | ||

So after playing a few games on this map, I haven't had too many issues with other players harassing my gold base; just seems like defense as usual. Though it's easy for them to put a marine/reaper or [insert unit(s) here] to shoot your drones, you still have your queen(s) to shoot back until speedlings get on the other side. As for harassing their gold, making just a roach or 2 and having them poke at workers seems to be more than enough. No speed needed! | ||

You surround the cyclones with lings and kill the hellbats with banes while using queens to finish it all. You probably need like 6-7 queens to hold comfortably. Number of lings/banes depends on how early they hit EDIT : Wrong quote | ||

Roach alone don't work, but ravagers do as they are faster, more range, and not armored, and bile can touch hellbat. But you need at least 3 gas mining to build enough ravagers. | ||
