Some better scouting in G2 and G3 and this could be a different series. G3 should have been a win definitely. G6 was a sure win as I think Snute has an advantage in the late game. Snute should just have played like he did vs Major and defended while teching fast.

At least that should convince him of the merits of scouting.

But who else? OK, maybe Hydra, but he is not THE star. But what about the other five? Everybody else will be ROFLstomped at BlizzCon. So who will be the other five? Consistently good? I really don't know. Maybe MarineLord, Nerchio? But they are not the top class.

Yeah when I came back to see he had no tech ready I was sure Polt had it. Yeh he went for a middle of the road play. Got a few infestors, and tried to timing attack, but there is a reason no Korean zergs plays like that. I think Snute might have overestimated how far he was ahead and while his plan initially was to turtle to hive, he figured he perhaps could just kill Polt with a midgame timing. Especially after he saw Polt dropping, he probably figured that he didn't have enough stuff at home. But the major issue was that he didn't even retreat with half his army after the failed timing and lost the 4th as well. That was full foreigner.

People do not want to think, to be rational, to have solid grounds for things ; they want gambles, randomness, unexplained stuff that leaves room for magical/supernatural interpretation. Why do you think RNG games have such success?

Well the main issue was Ptitdrogo who shouldn't have been at the top (which wasn't really based on recent form). Remove him and he is at 4th. Then Marinelord should probably be 4th-5th (slightly overrated). Polt would then be at 3rd, which seemed pretty fair as the top 3 was really close on paper.

Oh I think you know that I would've had Polt at number 1 But I also can't blame someone for trying to do it by the numbers

MarineLorD, Nerchio, ShoWTimE, Hydra would be my bet and they all can be as strong as Snute imo. Other than that I think Vortix will actually somehow make it and he can be super good too. Too bad he could not play this time. Then another frenchie like Lilbow, Drogo, Dayshi or FireCake will probably make it. Solid enough imo, although a few of them will get stomped.
