polt would never get past hydra if he was on hydras side of the bracket I could see nerchio beating hydra though so I suppose it could of happened maybe.

Hydra-snute: 60-40. Hydra showed he could take out Elazer, and Snute usually losses to Elazer, so Hydra should be a clear favourite.

Polt-Nerchio: 50/55-50/45. Should be close.

As the Polt-MMA-Mvp triangle has shown us, player transitivity is such a good way to figure out favourites...

Meh, you take what information you can get to estimate who is the favourite. Hydra in general is ofc also a better player so that's the major factor.

Hydra's shown way more mortality than I expected him to show, and Snute's been at the highest level he's been at in a WCS event.. pretty much ever, so I think Hydra vs Snute could actually be an upset. Still, Hydra is the favorite- he's the monster, he's the beast who everyone fears, and that reputation held up against Elazer. Hydra 3-2 Snute

Polt vs Nerchio is madness. They've both shown really strong games, they've both shown a general gap in terms of knowledge compared to their opponents, they're both big favorites to take the event- 50/50. I will say that Polt matches up well against Nerchio stylistically, but I have faith. This is the match of the tournament in my eyes. Nerchio 3-2 Polt

Snute vs Nerchio is the dream finals, Nerchio vs Hydra is the 'expected' finals (in my eyes), Polt vs Hydra is the expected finals (in the 'realistic' sense) and Polt vs Snute is just.. weird. I'd say Nerchio > Hydra > Polt > Snute in the finals, generally.

Dno, Snute has a fantastic TvZ and his victories against Masa and Major were fully expected. Violet isn't a great player, and I don't think we should emphasize his victory over Marinelord too much. Marinelord would probably win that bo5 7-8/10 times. So Snute beating Violet wasn't the biggest surprise ever. Point being that I don't think we can extrapolate that Marinelord < Violet < Snute.

Hydra on the other hand is a level above Violet and historically he is better than Snute and I think his recent form in ZvZ indicates that as well. If you look at Snute's ZvZ on the other hand, it's very unstable.

I totally agree with your points! But this is still his highest placement, and one of his very best runs considering his general failures in the WCS systems. I think MajOr and MaSa, despite being hugely disadvantaged on paper, still showed up enough to bring the ZvT master out of Snute, and I thought his ZvZ win over viOLet was a very noteworthy success. You're right, Nerchio seems to be very uncomfortable with the constant drops style, his record vs MMA shows that. But when you're in great shape, you can just brute force through your matches.

Polt's advantage is in mentality, he's one of those guys who always deliver on a big stage. If it was an online cup, even on NA server, I would bet on Nerchio but tomorrow Polt is the favourite.

I hope Snute channels his inner Life and pulls off some of the best ZvT vs Polt in the finals and takes the whole thing. I've never met the guy, but I hope he does make it to the finals since he seems like such a nice and likable person.

But my head says Polt vs Hydra and Polt winning 4-1 before he rides off into the sunset.

SIGBET ENTHUSIASTS, THIS IS FOR YOU

I'm willing to take up to 3 sigbets for the Nerchio v Polt series. If :

Nerchio wins 3-0 : I own the entirety of your sig for 3 months
Nerchio wins 3-1 : I own the entirety of your sig for 2 months
Nerchio wins 3-2 : I own the entirety of your sig for 1 month
Polt wins 3-2 : you own the entirety of my sig for 1 month
Polt wins 3-1 : you own the entirety of my sig for 2 months
Polt wins 3-0 : you own the entirety of my sig for 3 months

In addition to these terms, the following rules applies : should the series end on any other score, then the bet is void and null ; should any proven case of matchfixing, cheating, treachery, etc, affect any of the games of this event (IEM Katowice), then the bet is void and null.
Of course, if I lose and there"s more than one people having bet with me, you'll have to wait to get your turn at controlling my sig.
