Well...it's big part of the problem, late game shrooms are terror because of ward nerfs. He's still super annoying but this helps it.

Yeah. Teemo shrooms scale with Liandry's and pen basically, the rest is just gravy in addition to his Q burst.

Teemo is barely viable at the moment, he has seen 0 competitive play for a reason. Yes he can be annoying to play against in certain situations, he's a niche pick, most of the time it doesn't work.
Mushrooms are basically the only strong thing he has left and they get a big nerf with 0 compensation, I'd rather see nerfs on champions that are picked banned 80%+ of the time in competitive play because they have really proved that they were too strong too often.
And please don't pull out the "but riot also balances for bronze/silver" argument. If that were the case, malphite amumu and yi would be nerfed every patch.

He's one champion on their rework schedule that I think legitimately needs it, his E doesn't have synergy with the rest of his kit in any sensible way.

GP's E is just a crap version of Sivir/Taric ult
Which is to say that if you had a team with Sivir and/or Taric with him you could hard engage/ wimp out all day. In theory.

I don't think dshield nerf will accomplish anything in terms of increasing champ diversity. Dshield IMO needs like a regain 1 mana every time you take a hit passive. One thing that separates a lot of the manaless melees from mana based is that a lot of the manaless ones can push the lane and harass at the same time relatively easily, and a lot of the mana based don't have ways to constantly harass without taking creep aggro, and need to choose between wave management and harass because of the limited resources.

its not a bronze/silver nerf but it isn't competitive either obviously. Teemo is extremely popular in high diamond but probably wont be picked as much after these nerfs. He even gets banned occasionally

They seriously are nerfing kassas dmg? remind me of a video where bjergsen talked about nerfing kassa. Seems like they want to give kassa something like 100 base damage on his skills to balance him lol

In the patch notes it specifically says this is just a band aid fix before they implement more drastic changes.

A champion whose kit revolves around split pushing in a solo lane shouldn't have an ability that buffs nearby allied champions. Either that or his R shouldn't be global, and they stated that they're keeping his R as is.
