Been to elecktro a few times went to the supermarket and school and found a screwdriver and a bunch of random stuff but nothing to comfort my hunger or thirst. Also where did all the zombies go? There are like near to none any more. Atm, loot and zombies only spawn after server restarts, which happens every 3-4 hours or something. If you join a popular server after a few hours, the more popular looting places and towns are going to be completely cleaned out. Dynamic loot and zombie spawns is something they are working on.

Damn that sucks. Makes playing the game quite hard at the moment then. Need those dynamic spawns like in the mod! Also I have constant red chains when trying to play this game despite not lagging in another game... Well I guess it is an alpha :D. Just have to wait .

I was in electro aswell as all other shore towns and found absolutely nothing. And whats up with being thirsty 24/7? Ok, the thirst first off. The warning when you're thirsty comes at a very low %, maybe 40%, and you start off very near that when you start the game. If you drink until just above that line, you will become thirsty again very soon. also not all types of drinks give equal amount of unthirstyness. What you should do is find a water source, like a well, fill whatever bottles or canteens you have, and then drink until not thirsty, and then a ton more times. I don't know if you can overdo it and get water poison in this game yet, but if you can I haven't been able to do it. Same with food btw. He starts whining at a very low percentage, and if all you do is eat rice until the warning goes away, you're just a tiny bit above the line, and you'll become hungry again in a matter of minutes. That way it seems that you're just constantly hungry, while you haven't really gotten feed yet. With food it will say your stomach is full when you've eaten enough. As of right now, you can not find weapons in cities. Most weapons only spawn in military areas, while the mosin spawns in barns (which atm has no spawn points), and industrial areas. Cities like Electro is usually very crowded, and since loot doesn't respawn until a server restart, it will almost always be cleaned out. I suggest heading north, try to get as much food and water as you can on the way, and start searching military areas. The airfield is amazing, as you'll find anything you'll ever need there and lots of it. But there is also a high risk of other people heading to the same area. So it can either be cleaned out as well, or there's a big risk of getting shot. Some of the smaller military bases might be a safer bet until you got a proper gun.

There you will find a good description of how thirst and hunger works. The TL;DW would be : Drink until you're full (you'll get messages saying that you are, it's fine) and eat everything you find until you get the "healthy" status (not "healing"). Then you start regenerating blood and health, and it's much easier to maintain, just eat and drink once in a while. If you wait to get the "thirsty" status, you're already dehydrated, so taking a sip of whatever doesn't do much, but remove the status.

Or do I just have to wait till I starve to death? :d Edit: nvm after 10 mins of running around and hitting the invisible walls with my axe I managed to glitch myself out!

You become the juggernaut, except you can be shot, and hit by things, so...it's actually highly inconvenient except for being stuck inside things.

since the last patch, the SA is in something of a weird place right now unless you're not in the looting stage of the game. to not be in that stage you need to be at balota, and since the stupid spawn change you're always spawning east of elektro so if you just want to run to balota you get to run for about a half hour straight and run the high risk of getting shot immediately once you get there. I know it's a fuckin' alpha, no one needs to remind me, but there's a lot of fun not being had in the state it's in. what I don't get is that this latest patch was apparently supposed to boost stability and suddenly the game is falling to pieces for me.

What was said about having to go to balota to loot isn't true to be honest. If you spawn north east berezino has lots of loot spawn, and elektro has too. I prefer the mosin to the m4 by far, and you can't find mosins in balota. So yeah if you want to server hop to full military gear I guess you have to be in balota, but if you want to play the game "legitly" you can always find a city on a low pop server and find some stuff in there. NW airfield and the tents north of it should contain everything you can dream of too, but it's indeed a long way off.

I got my legs broken running around in a house, and my friend died twice just being on a balcony and getting rubberbanded to instadeath (yes he did it twice, he doesn't learn from his mistakes haha). Well at least now I know how to fix a broken leg (you need wooden sticks and rags to make a spline). What was said about having to go to balota to loot isn't true to be honest. You will fall off if you even as much as look at one.. again tho, stairs have never been an issue for me. Most aren't even tall enough to take damage even if you fall off.

It could be that someone else has looted it before me, but I find that unlikely, since I've gone through some of the apartments just east of Balota a few times, and found nothing, but then the two supermarkets in the same area were completely untouched and full of food. Where should I be looking in them?

I ask, because I've probably ran through at least 5 buildings almost top to bottom, and have only ever found one rotten orange the whole time. I just think I'm not really looking in the right places. Where should I be looking in them? You talking about houses in general or the big apartment blocks? The latter have one spawn point each I think, at the very top in the elevator shaft. Complete waste of time checking.

Complete waste of time checking. Yeah, I'm talking about the larger apartments that are ~5 stories or so, with about 4 apartments per story, with each having a balcony.
