There is, it's down then up but you gotta do it pretty fast.
I thought the 3-taunt thing only worked for Q (so he takes 50% less damage?). What's it do for other characters?

I know it doesnt carry over between new opponents. Im just talking about rounds of the same fight. And I read that super jump is down up but I can't seem to do it. What's it do for other characters? hugo has like 4 levels of defense i think, a lot of characters increase dmg of next attack (just one attack), chun li has like various ones that can come out, and her back stretch is the best one.

This guy has uploaded all of KSK's Gvision ranbats (something like 40+ ranbats): http://hosted.filefront.com/rolento www.denjin-video.com has the FFA 3s ranbats (however, they were down for a while and only recently came back up so they don't really have much yet)

Plus, there are some that ksk only put on that weird japanese file sharing site that never went on torrents. edit: my 65 included some tougeki and other random stuff from vision (all 3s) but I checked rolento's files and there were definitely a bunch that were missing still (like the ones from early 2005.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the 3s scene, SBO, "Super Battle Opera", is the most famous Third Strike tournament. The semis and finals are played in front of a huge crowd . These matches were played in 2004, with teams of 3. Just so you know the stakes, J's teammates have already lost and if he loses, his team is eliminated. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3VVWZ74_SPE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3VVWZ74_SPE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> SBO 3 Grand Finals: Nuki, Daigo (Chun Li, Ken) vs Kokujin, KO (Dudley, Yun) Played 2 years ago. They had teams of 2 instead of teams of 3 in that year. I'm not sure who the best Ken player is, but the best Chun Li is Nuki, the best Yun is KO, and the best Dudley is (was) Kokujin. The games start at 1:35 by the way. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FxMjrLg1gCk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FxMjrLg1gCk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> FFA Ranbat 2-4: Pyrolee (Yun) vs Amir (Ryu!!) Pyrolee and Amir are the top 2 west coast players for Third Strike in the US. Amir's main character is Chun Li, though. This is the first ranbat (ranking battle) where he's trying out Ryu instead. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BibDnOyNZA4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BibDnOyNZA4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> FFA Ranbat 2-4: Sextaro (Makoto) vs Amir (Ryu) Winners Finals this time. <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LAus6r3JY2c"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LAus6r3JY2c" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

Chun-li is prolly even between Nuki and MOV, with Tokido slightly behind. Oh, and Rikimaru seems to be extremely strong these days. Yun is... I'm tempted to place Nitto slightly ahead of KO, esp since KO is entered in this year's SBO under Yang (Boss is playing Yun on his team). Nitto has also been literally unstoppable in recent months too. ------- Dudley - well Kokujin went back home and quit 3s, so that leaves... Jima and Fujiwara maybe? Urien - RX and Pierre as always. RX has better mechanics but Pierre is the better tournament player. Makoto - J seems inactive (which makes me sad ), and there seems to be a dirth of S-class makotos atm... perhaps Inoue is the best in this year's SBO field. speaking of SBO, isn't it like, this weekend or something like that?

(I think it has some minor errors, e.g. sometimes opposite cells don't add up to 10.) Which yields the following tier list: 1. Yun and Chun Li (tied for 1st) 3. Ken 4. Makoto 5. Dudley 6. Yang 7. Akuma (aka Gouki) 8. Urien 9. Ryu and Oro 11. Ibuki 12. Elena 13. Necro 14. Alex 15. Remy 16. Q 17. Twelve and Hugo 19. Sean The last 4 columns are: o The number of points above/below the average (an all-fives character). o The number of advantageous matchups. o The number of roughly-equal matchups. o The number of disadvantageous matchups.

All the different teams that qualified are here: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=131846 Interesting thing I read on SRK, Kuroda (mainly known for being an excellent Q player) is known as the "best" 3s player and he has the "best" Yun, Ken AND Urien: Jack wrote: I can guarantee u Kuroda is the best and well respect 3s player... If u ask any top/god players, they will point their fingers to the sky~~~ he is simply the best... MOV and Ino said to the Chinese earlier in May this year at TGB, they rank Kuroda the best Yun, Ken & Urien... Now what are most unbelievable were, when Rx goes the arcade, he just stand behind Kuroda and learn tricks from Kuroda... I'm not sure how you guys rank MOV, but Kuroda's Ken rapes his Chunli 20 games in a roll... Now, these all come out from MOV and Ino... I still find it hard to believe everything, but yeah... I will try to film some of Kuroda action this sbo!!! LOL source: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=129585&page=110 I find it very difficult to believe but if this is true... O_o
