I feel so sorry for the Slayers players, especially MMA and Crank. If an environment is so toxic you're afraid to tell the truth as to why you're leaving(Crank) or simply don't want to play the game anymore (MMA), its far too much and eventually torpedoes the team.
A manager's job is not to only get money for the team or to get them discounts for things, its to provide an emotional anchor for the players and act as a guardian and a leader for them. You need to be able to not just gain trust, but hold it. Jessica was unfit from the start to have that sort of responsibility and yes, the majority of the blame rests on her shoulders. There is no shirking that.
Could other things have been done to prevent that? Sure. But they didn't.
As a side note, if you're constantly looking at media sites and forums for criticism and then taking THAT to heart, you aren't cut out for a sport with that magnification.
So what does that mean to the drama? Jessica was lying? I forgot what I read... Been reading too much >.<
Yes that tweet leaves more questions then answers because what happened to it? Follow the sponsorship trail and where does it lead? His tweet doesn't answer any of that.
She kinda addressed it (but vaguely) in that interview:
"Q: What do you think of his comment that the individual sponsorship offer going to BoxeR instead?
A: I definitely said that is not true. MMA indeed asked BoxeR about it and BoxeR then asked me. I was actually very sad when BoxeR asked me back then. I said, 'I know your [BoxeR] personality and why would I not tell you this.'
What I later found out was that company N and company S offered sponsorships for MMA but they went to BoxeR instead. Sponsorship matters were dealt with by manager J, so I directly contacted related parties in those companies to confirm. However, they didn't even know who manager J was. Do other StarCraft 2 teams' players have the same questions and do managers answer them? I really do not understand this issue."
But like I asked in the earlier post, wth does this even mean? She's basically saying what MMA said wasn't true, then the next paragraph saying that it was indeed true, and that it just magically went to Boxer and she had no idea why. o_O
It's cause the 2nd part was a translation error and it confused me too.

I'm confused trying to understand this though. From what I gather, Manager J accused Jessica of embezzling sponsorship money to MMA. MMA believes him so MMA asks Boxer if this is true. Boxer tells MMA that he will find out and goes and asks Jessica if it's true. From the first part of Jessica's answer up above, I think she's trying to say that her reaction to Boxer was sadness, asking why he would ask such a thing of her, since that's something she would tell him about and not hide from him?
After that Boxer goes to tell MMA that no there is no weirdness going on (from MMA's interview)
But Jessica then claims here that she "later found out" that two companies offered sponsorships for MMA but that somehow they ended up going to Boxer instead. The rest of her answer I couldn't understand what she was trying to say.
If that's true, that is a MASSIVE MISTAKE / OVERSIGHT on her part. She tells Boxer that no money or sponsorships have been diverted from MMA when in reality TWO sponsorships were "taken" from MMA and sent to Boxer.
If I was in MMA's shoes and found out about that... I would be incredibly pissed off. I would feel like I had been lied to, and I wouldn't trust anything my managers said to me any more.
Seriously, that is a HUGE goof up on Jessica's part for telling Boxer everything was fine before actually going and finding out what the hell was going on with their sponsorships first.
Yeah, I'm glad someone brought this up and I wish the interviewer did a follow up question.
MMA says a personal sponorship for him went to boxer. Jessica admits company N and company S offered personal sponsorship for MMA, but it somehow ended up going to boxer. Then she goes off on a tangent asking if players should even ask managers these questions.
WTF?! Isn't Jessica admitting right there, that MMA was right and that a sponsorship for him did go to boxer? How did that happen? How could the interviewer overlook that statement and not ask a followup question and go, wtf didn't you just say a personal sponsorship for MMA never happened just a few sentences ago, but now you say it did in fact happen?
I am not sure if it is a translation issue but I read it that company N and company S went to Boxer, as in these companies went to Boxer to negotiate, and Jessica was not involved in this issue at all. That is my reading of the English translation by the wording of it. I don't think she means that these two companies ended up sponsoring Boxer instead of MMA, which was their original intention. The wording is not clear.
This is the exact quote from the ESFI translation and another translator will have to verify this.
Slayers Jessica
What I later found out was that company N and company S offered sponsorships for MMA but they went to BoxeR instead.
The word, "instead" was used implying that it was supposed to go to MMA first, but instead went to Boxer.
WHOA, massive mistranslation there. It should go: "my understanding is that they believed I was trying to transfer sponsorships from companies N and S originally meant for MMA to Boxer. In fact, I had no clue about these sponsorships and when I investigated later, said companies didn't even know who manager J was.
edit: as in, such sponsorships did not exist in the first place seems to be what Jessica is insisting

@Goro87 I'd prefer if the drama ends, but i just wanted to clarify that MMA's statement on this was legit.
*Removed my name* @geokilla
@MitchellChris Hate to break it to you, but this drama isn't going to end anytime soon. Especially not after releasing that info...

Yea... thanks for trying to make me feel dumb for siding with the players Jessica and TL. Cultural differences are one thing. Right and wrong is another.
Hey guys. The part about sponsorship was not translated correctly. I want to set the record straight.
Original one is ==== A: I definitely said that is not true. MMA indeed asked BoxeR about it and BoxeR then asked me. I was actually very sad when BoxeR asked me back then. I said, 'I know your [BoxeR] personality and why would I not tell you this.' What I later found out was that company N and company S offered sponsorships for MMA but they went to BoxeR instead. ==== You can notice that the 2nd part is contradicting with the first part.... The correct translation for the 2nd part is that.
Later I found out that THE CLAIM (by J) was that company N and company S offered sponsorships to MMA, but they went to Boxer instead. That time J was in charge of contacting sponsors and make arrangements. So I contacted those 2 companies and asked about that. But they did not even know who J was.
So Jessica is saying J lied about MMA receiving personal sponsorships from companies. J did not contact any sponsors nor was he contacted by any sponsors about personal sponsorship to MMA. No sponsorship, no embezzlement, no shit going on involving Boxer. Thats it. ====== Those of you who thought this is a million dollar question. You can easily make that million dollar cross referring to other sources !!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe that. Razer to the rescue? Of MMA's reputation......my lordy this is bad. I thought Jessica was a overreacting piece of work, but this is incredible. Simply incredible....

... why didn't she just ask Boxer if he got two more sponsorships?
And well, honestly it doesn't matter. Razer just confirmed MMA has a missing sponsorship.

This is front page news, this is HUGE. This blows open the whole thing, manager J was RIGHT, even I thought that was a stretch and one of the least likely scenarios!
Boxer: Then do we have to stay in this difficult situation by spending our own money? We have to blame MMA and his group of thugs and you have to blame MMA's group of thugs.
Choi: Then why did I talk to Jessica for? She said she understood and now you are making me out as an idiot.
Boxer: You are saying your story, I am saying mine. Let's meet.
Choi: Boxer please talk. I'll just listen. I wanted to suppress my feelings but Jessica says I lied. What did I lie about?
Boxer: We will just continue to misunderstand each other if we talk on the phone.
