While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people. Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned! - Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM - Comparing people to Hitler - Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

You can play SC2 well? Great! You want to be a pro-gamer? You want a sponsor to pay you and ferry you around from tournament to tournament? You want fans who'll tune in and maybe buy the products you endorse? Then you act like you give a shit, 100% of the time. That's part of the job. You probably don't even understand what you write, so let me help you. I appreciate your concern. You have just said that it's the sponsor that should stop supporting naniwa, it's fan who should stop following him. It's in the league's authority to deny him a chance he earned through hard work and being better than everybody else because of personal and retarded reason. It doesn't happen in any sports, just in this farce that is esports, where if kids cry on tl and reddit stuff like this happens. What I just said was that fans, players, organisers and officials are all in it together. Everything they do affects everyone else. Players of many sports have been officially sanctioned for bringing the sport into disrepute on and off the 'pitch', whatever that might happen to mean. The larger and more established sports may have more checks and balances and more lawyers involved, but the principle is not unique to esports. Hopefully our understanding has equalised now. Cheers!

Games being thrown like that is not good for GOM TV's business so it's their right to defend it from detrimental factors like players intentionally losing.

This is like the reseat that shows that E-sports will NEVER EVER grow into a real sport. So unprofessional banning someone for no reason just to let a player like IdrA in because EG has payed gomTV. And now, everyone suddenly changes their mind (seeing as idra has a huge fanbase, he's got the entire America behind him) and thinks this is a good decision just because IdrA got Naniwa's spot. It's like HuK said. People are always quick to say "this is killing e-sports". I think this is the first time you can legitimately say, this IS killing e-sports. Cheating and unprofessionalism- GomTV right there. The only thing that showed that Esports cant be taken seriously, is having what Naniwa did happen on live TV. Its embarrasing. If you did this as a professional anything, you would be blacklisted the hell out of the profession. Supporting Naniwas behaviour is completely counterproductive to what seems to be your goal, wnating Esports to be taken seriously.

Nice joke bro. No tournament in the world would let people play a game without nothing on line. They clearly need to learn to host a better tournament. :-) Du är ju korkad, aldrig hört talas om fotboll? Almost all tournaments have meaningless games. Do they? Can you name one meaningless game from MLG? From Dreamhack? Can you name one meaningless game from the offline IPL3 event? You're full of shit. If you actually knew what you were talking about you would know the following: - IPL3 had a pointless groupstage where multiple players forfeited matches (partially due to time issues and I think it was done in an understanding with the organisation) - Dreamhack had pointless games in the group phase. - MLG final 'position' games are generally meaningless to a point where people don't even show up for them. Keep in mind that none of this is ment to condone what naniwa did, just that you're wrong. There's differences between these games and the one we're all talking about.

Actually I think most younger people on TL voted for naniwa as they are kiddies with no responsibility in life and don't know shit about life. You keep telling yourself that. Your view in life is not the only one and is not the absolute one and is not the single correct one. I agree about this. I think this is the culture crash. Guessed as much. Pretty big culture clash. Guess your right. Most Korean dont(cannot) understand why foreigners are standing by naniwa. They must be ok even naniwa go photo rush. its hard to explain, but they want the good game, even player give up, the want some of ceremony. They want respect to them, and each other

him and Nestea. TBH: I think it was kind of the right move, since a professional shut always try to give his best. GSL has a lot of paying customers and it can (imo) not be tolerated, if players intentionally lose a game, because you cannot tell me that he thought he might win with a probe rush. May be they shut have given him a smaller punishment, but what shut that be? A fine or the exclusion of future invite tournaments like the blizzard cup? I also dont like the money hunter part. For the part of the statement of him being unprofessional: I totally agree on that one, since every professional Sport is a SHOW for customers. What would you say, if you go to a professional boxing fight and one of the guys just fakes a KO for whatever reason?

Except Coca wasn't punished it was his own decision to give up that seasons GSL (and maybe encouraged by his Team) if slayers hadnt made coca forfeit, then slayers+coca would have gotten a ton more shit from fans and gsl would have punished him anyways... coca/slayers took responsibility for his actions but naniwa can't be expected to do the adult thing, so he has to be punished. he was pretty clear that he wasnt sorry about it in the post game interviews lol

Nani's been kind of a douchebag for awhile, it's just catching up with him. I wish they'd still let him play, but we all saw this coming. He refuses to play nice, by and large. Success in a small industry like this is social, not just skill.
