If i get a different DVD drive(19.99) that has free shipping it makes the shipping $10.45. By going with the cheaper one but not free shipping, I SAVE 8 CENTS.
so in the end it doesn't matter.
EDIT: Is there a big difference between the 6850 and 6870?? Is it worth the extra money?
uh...I've never seen that. If I have two items with $5 shipping each, shipping is $10. If I add another item with $7 shipping, my total shipping becomes $17. Are you sure about that?

You would be better off spending less, assuming you are playing at 1080p. The Radeon HD6950 1GB variant should be equal or less expensive than the GTX 560 Ti and offer the same performance as the 2GB variant. The 2GB variant will only pull out ahead of the 1GB variant at higher resolutions with AA/AF.

Uh, that's the Fractal Design Core 3000 (cable routing and layout not that great, but decent build quality and 3 fans with included fan controller, for a good price), not the Define.
I'd like to reiterate all the other points though.

My mistake, sort of associate silence with Fractal Design =p

So, I'm building my computer now.. And I have a cable labelled HD Audio, and connected to that is a cable labelled AC'97. If I understand correctly, I only need to plug one of these in, because they both provide audio, is this correct? I feel silly leaving something unconnected :3

Yes, you're correct. HD is recommended.

Also, this came with my mobo, but I can't find a reference to it in the manual >.> + Show Spoiler + It's nothing important, is it?
|
Nothing important. It's a molex to something adapter, maybe SATA?

Alright. Thanks skyR, incredibly quick and helpful ^_^

If anyone remembers, I mentioned looking for a replacement gaming laptop a little while ago. I've been looking since and have found that my hopes of a $700-$800 laptop, while not entirely dashed, are going to take a significant amount of searching to achieve. Right now I'm just hoping to get an indication of how the following laptop (which I probably will not get) would handle gaming, and to what extent I can reasonable expect to find a better deal over the next three months if I check deal sites daily. + Show Spoiler +Price: $855 after tax CPU: i5-2410M GPU: 2GB Radeon HD 6770M GDDR5 Graphics RAM: 6GB DDR3 Screen: 15.6" 1920x1080 Hard drive: 500GB 5400RPM This is the configuration. Enter this code to get the discount on the price: NBR5818
