Only thing I did was using singleplayer cheats from time to time, especially in skyrim as I often had problems with bugged doors,treasures,quests... -.-

It gives you a convenience over other players, not really an advantage. it's really a joke to put it in the same category as RTS maphacking or Wallhacking or Aimhacking etc. I mean, you didn't really use it AGAINST other players, you used it against the AI, and it didn't help you kill them, just took less time bullshitting to get to the thing you wanted to fight.

It was also really interesting from a technical standpoint. Figuring out how the hacks worked by exploiting shoddy/lazy coding, etc. I feel like it made me a better thinker, in a way. In a game like StarCraft or DotA, though.. that's different. You hacking directly fucks another person over. That's not cool.

Online, in fun CW (CS:S) only against BM-Clans who flame a lot after loosing 2 rounds... rcon sv_gravity 1....wait till they jump and float....rcon sv_gravity 10000000000000 smash em in the ground... kick, change PW. Don´t know if you want to call it hack :D but it sure is fun. Counterstrike / CS:S Online is not anymore. There was a glorious time, when all those Kid-Flamers could not run Source Engine on their PCs ![]()

Cheating in any type of multiplayer setting is stupid. If you have to do that then why even bother playing? I cant imagine how anyone does that and feels a sense of self-achievement.

My friend borrowed his cousins sc2 account and maphacked on it, as well did I. I actually did WORSE with the hack than I did normally. So after a couple games I never did it again.

Round 1 (patch 1.08 / 1.09 - when I first played diablo 2 regularly/often/alot online) Used to have an internet cafe up the road which I played at a number of times a week. When counter strike was insanely popular where I live. lan games of cs, diablo2 on battle.net and the odd game of brood war (though not often coz the asians used to dominate lol) Anyway... Maphack: Technically it is a hack, but at the time everyone was using it and it wasn't even thought of as a bannable offence at the time. I mean sure you were breaking the rules in the toc's but no one was getting banned for using it (this was 2001-2002). Duping: Asians we used to play with at the netcafe got sent a program that help dupe items for you. Mass sojs and windforces for everyone! (remember this is before 1.10 and the op runewords ![]() Round 2: (patch 1.11 - friends started playing d2 again so I decided to play again) Only used one hack during this time. NH (NiceHack). By this point people were getting banned for using maphacks, but someone I knew online showed me NH. It had a few uses but all I used it was changing the text colour of runes to purple instead of white (so they stood out from the normal/non magic items). But mostly for its nifty auto teleport to important places thing it had. Say if I wanted to farm meph/the countess/baal/most permanent bosses in the game really. Instead of going to the waypoint and having to manually teleport around the place till I get to where I need to be.. I would get to the waypoint and just push "N" and it would get me to where I need to be (a bot using the teleport spell from a sorc/enigma). I used to exploit quite abit during this time aswell lol =/. Bug rushing people (this was very common) Leveling up characters in uber tristram (1 hour to lvl 80, 3 hours to lvl 90. few of us pitched in together and had a good 'business' on d2jsp for a while. I had a lvl 93 paladin with maxed meditation aura lol (needed insane mana regen to be safe while we afk'd)) Duping: Yes again lol, this time there was no hack/3rd party program used. We basically used necromancers and spammed bonewall (or bone prison) everywhere till the game lagged out / everyone got disconnected. Blizzard had a thing where games would stay up for a few/several minutes if everyone got disconnected with the lag. I forgot exactly in which order everything went, but we had characters drop items we wanted to dupe in town (mostly high runes, items with good stats to make runewords in) and we'd have necromancers spamming bonewall just outside of town. Basically what you were trying to achieve was to get your characters to disconnect and suffer abit of a rollback. So if you were successful with the lagging the game out enough and dropping your items at the right time. Your characters would still have the items on them/in their inventory. And their would still be items on the ground in the game that everyone got disconnected from. It was very volatile but it worked sometimes. d2 and cs, aaah those were the days!

Tonight I just played Battlefield 3 where someone was hacking. The guy was on my team so I didn't see exactly what is was doing to people. Just killing 66 and dying twice. It totally ruined the game for everyone. I wish it were impossible to hack in modern online games.
