Another honorable mention for a development characterizing this season is perhaps due for the transformation of the Serral vs. Maru matchup from a highly anticipated premiere fight into a dreaded one-sided affair. Just one year ago at Kato'24, the Serral vs. Maru finals was still hype, especially as it took place at the height of the GoaT debate. Oh, and all the salty threads mushrooming on TL in the aftermath of that finals. Sweet memories.

Thus, Clem vs Reynor wasn't just the top rivalry of this past season, but it stands up there with some of the best rivalries of all time. What is this? IT IS REYNOR WITH A STEEL CHAIR! Anyway, great summary of an amazing "year" of Starcraft. Weirdly, even though it was so long, it never felt too stretched out thanks to WTL. Really the bread&butter of SC2 in 2023/24. Also "shoutout" to the EWC Foundation who was the entire reason we even got such a long season, because they couldn't get their World Cup in order fast enough...which is happening again, even outside of SC2.

It hurts to see but the real fans know he's on their level.
