Weekly Cup Competitions Week of April 6 - April 12We returned to Protoss supremacy in the second week of April, with herO and Classic sweeping through the 1v1 cups.
The week also featured two forms of team-based StarCraft, with Trigger-Clem winning the uThermal 2v2 cup while the "Villains of StarCraft 2" (MaxPax, Solar, and Percival) won the WardiTV Team League.
*Partial brackets may be shown.

The WardiTV Mondays title was contested by herO and Classic for the third week in a row, with the two having previously split cups #79 and #80. Classic came out on top in the rubber-match finals with a convincing 3-0 victory, besting his rival at both offense and defense in the Protoss mirror (VOD).

April 7: PiGosaur Cup #76

A break for Monday Night Weeklies made PiGosaur cup the second of the weeklies, with victory going to herO in the end. Although Clem had been able to take down herO 3-2 in the previous week's PiGosaur Cup finals, herO took a 3-1 victory in the rematch to keep his 2026 balance against Clem deep in the black. (VOD). herO found success with both the Robo-centric style he has been favoring as of late, as well as the 'random' DT's that always seem to hit their mark against Clem.
The tournament also featured an impressive run from the rising Percival, who defeated Cure in the quarterfinals and took herO to five games in the semis.

April 8: 2026 Kung Fu Cup #4
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/KFC2026_4.png)
herO logged a double in the Kung Fu Cup, defeating Rex, Cure, SHIN, and Clem on his way to a weekly double (VOD). Clem has occasionally dabbled with playing Protoss in weekly cups (outside of his usual PvT off-racing), and losing to herO in the earlier PiGosaur Cup seemed to convince him to give PvP a shot in the return bout.
Actually, Clem began the five game series with Terran on Ruby Rock, but after getting beat down by herO's Stalker harassment, he switched to Protoss for the rest of the series. Things actually went quite well for Clem as he went 2-2 against herO in PvP, but his initial loss as Terran gave herO the 3-2 win overall. Clem looked to be quite solid in the Protoss mirror, playing both cheesy early-games and mid-game macro games at a high level.

April 11: 2026 uThermal 2v2 Tour - Bonus Cup #7
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/thermy2v2_2026_bonus7.png)
The theme of the 2026 uThermal 2v2 tour has been players splitting with their established partners and trying out new combinations, but Bonus Cup #7 saw many familiar teams join forces once more. Clem-Trigger, a team that played in the very first uThermal 2v2 tournament, ended up taking first place, upsetting the duo of Spirit-ShoWTimE.

Finally, the 10th season of WardiTV Teamleague wrapped up its month-long journey with the Villains of StarCraft II (Percival, MaxPax, Solar) earning a massive upset victory over BASILISK in the finals (VOD). In an extraordinarily rare occurrence, Serral actually lost all four of his games played in the finals—albeit, two of them occurred in 2v2. The most notable finals game was Percival's unexpected win against Serral, with his 3-base Marine-Tank all-in felling the reigning world champion.
