This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. Keep it civil. NOTE: For those of you who want to find the actual ABL thread where the bans are posted. Please look in here: https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/

As a general remark, I completely understand this kind of thread being closed. I suppose there are very few people who diligently care for what all the other TLers (Teamliquidians?) post, take the time to listen and maybe even comment on the songs. So it descends into 99% posting their fav song (which wasn't even the intention of the OP) without caring for anyone else. I just wish there was a way this kind of thread could actually exist. Music is such a beautiful thing to share - unfortunately much less a thing to discuss (due to human nature). Still, I get what I need from these threads. So I'm a happy balloon =)

I am getting better at it, but sometimes it is just really hard to look away. Schadenfreude's a bitch. As for the healthcare thread, I think it is pretty civilised. Sure the discussion has been had before but it is a relevant and interesting topic. The only thing that annoys me is that some people seem to think that as soon as you criticise a system you are criticising the country ![]()

They just read the title and then start ranting :-P Its far more likely that they have learned to fear the banhammer/been permed already, then again we may just be seeing the calm before the storm... Also, this dude is breaking records on how many threads one can have closed in as few posts as possible : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/search.php?q=&t=c&f=-1&u=Kahz&gb=date On one of his many bans one of the mods made a reference to mobile internet. I'm guessing this guy is doing this from his phone which could make it difficult to ban him permanently. Also he could just keep resetting his modem until it grabs a new IP. In both of these cases is should be possible to ban the guy permanently but it requires a lot of work (contacting the guy's ISP and convincing them that this guy is a malicious user) and likely they view it as easier to just keep banning him hoping that he will get bored. That seems to do the trick for most malicious users, when the fun runs out they leave. My guess is that eventually they make take these steps if this continues though. However, if the guy is using free WiFi connections all over the place (coffee shops, bars, etc.) banning him permanently would be virtually impossible using legal methods.

:\ I'd think talking that much crap would warrant a warning.

It might be a bit harsh to warn someone for their stupidity. I know it happens but normally it is someone who knows they are being stupid. I am not so sure this was this case with that particular thread.

He posted it again when he got some sources from various websites, however each of those sites read the amendment very differently then the poster did. I would like to think after posting the same thing twice he might get a warning or temp, he was clearly looking to cause problems http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=282014
