And one last question, on the das and leopold, will the keys feel glossy on them? Not the outer layer of the keyboard, just the keys.

PBT plastic better avoids glossing, you can always replace keycaps on either... DG.Z I believe you can just use custom drivers? I saw that mentioned on geekhack.org forums. You could always ask there yourself Not necessary but; coupled with mac legend keycaps you would never know it was a pc keyboard. (finding led keycaps can be tricky but more are coming out.)

![]() Since it's my first mechanical keyboard I can't comment on how it fares against others but it seems great for the price (80€).

I know there are tenkeyless Filco's but not with PBT caps and backlighting. That would be so sweet.

I'm pretty sure you can order a filco/ducky tenkeyless keyboard and order a full set up PBT keycaps. I may be wrong though.

I've been looking to get a Ducky Shine with red switches but the media key incompatibility with Foobar is kind of a dealbreaker for me.

But right now my choices are down to the Das silent and the leopold otaku. And one last question, on the das and leopold, will the keys feel glossy on them? Not the outer layer of the keyboard, just the keys. Yes Leopold use the same stabilisers as 6gv2, ducky does as well. The cherry stabilisers. Das, Filco, Rosewill and the CM qfr use costar stabilisers which are less mushy, but harder to remove keys. I don't think any keys come feeling glossy, at least I have never heard of any. Though some of my Filcos keys are on the way to feeling glossy. On June 27 2012 05:00 Waterflow wrote: I hope Filco or Ducky releases a tenkeyless keyboard with PBT keycaps and green backlighting. Drop the cash on a deck legend, pretty sure they come in green backlit.

My mouse is a roccat kone+ and i like the design of roccat isku but seeing this : http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Pro_gear makes me wonder if it's a good idea.. None of them have kone+ or isku.. Are they that bad ? I like to have media keys and 1-5 macro keys too. I would have chose the steelseries 6gv2 if it weren't for them. Also, do they usually need a power supply ? Thanks!

I do not know your mouse, but for the technical side of moving your mouse pointer across the screen and clicking stuff, it either works perfect or it does not. Your own opinion about your mouse is probably not any worse than anyone's. If you do not feel any problems, do not make many mistakes clicking on stuff that you feel are not your fault, then your mouse is probably alright to use and just as good as a mouse from the progamer gear list you linked. If you think your mouse works correctly, decide by the shape or weight or whatever else you like or do not like about your mouse. About your keyboard, there is basically only the Razer Blackwidow as a mechanical keyboard with macro keys, I think. If you try a mechanical keyboard and get addicted to the feel of the keys compared to a normal keyboard, then you should think again about the macro keys. Do you really need them? If you only play at home, you can use software like AutoHotkey to reprogram all keys on a keyboard, and can probably live without macro keys. You could do stuff like disable Caps Lock, and instead use the Caps Lock key for switching between two layers of keys on your keyboard: the first layer making the keyboard work like it does normally, and a second layer with macros on a bunch of keys. If you want to go to LAN tournaments, you are not allowed to use macros that are more complicated than a simple key press. If you only use such simple macros, you can simply rebind the keys inside SC2 and there is no difference in your performance between keyboards with and without macro keys. EDIT: It seems Tt eSPORTS sells a keyboard with twelve macro keys and black MX switches.

Mechanicals with macros and media keys (some dont have dedicated media keys): Blackwidow Corsair k90 TT meka g unit Coolermaster storm trigger I don't think any keyboard needs a power supply, they get their power from usb.

Macro keys would be for WoW only so i don't really need them that hard and i guess media keys can be replaced by something else. Blackwidow is a bit too expensive imo. I didn't know about Tt Esport keyboards, they look really nice and i'd like to buy stuff from them, to thank them for sponsoring White-ra. So i guess it will be either a Tt Esport keyboard (meka g-unit looks fabulous) or Steelseries 6gv2 (best idea ever to remove the window key) after all ![]() Also, i'm quite surprised that MMA uses a Sc2 razer marauder keyboard, was it a sponsor thing or is it really suitable for a proplayer ? Thank you all ! Edit : dumb question : MX means mechanical ? Edit 2 : i read this review about the g-unit http://www.lesnumeriques.com/clavier/tt-esports-meka-unit-p11948/test.html It's quite horrible, they say the audio/microphone jack are the worst of all the keyboards they tryed and that the anti-ghosting system isn't that good aswell. Also, there is no full backlighting. Damnit, he looked so nice ![]()

Thank you all ! TT boards have a good reputation but they use black switches which are fairly heavy, which means you make less mistakes but it can be tiring, depends on the person. The marauder is apparently friggin terrible and quite expensive, but guess who sponsors slayers? So quite a few slayers members use the marauder, I guess they just throw it in the bin and get a new one when it breaks. Cherry MX are the most popular mechanical switch. No idea what the MX stands for.

![]() I'm not surprised about the razer marauder :p About the Meka g-unit, the review i read was so bad i don't think i'm going to try it. So, razer is out (price), ttesport is out (bad review), roccat is out (not mechanical), steelseries 6gv2 is meh-why-not. Coolermaster's are nice, a bit expensive too but really nice. Corsair's i don't really know what to think, their pictures have different layouts but there's nothing to chose one on their website, so we don't know what layout we'll have .. Qpad's looks the best but i'm afraid the prices will be high.. So i'm thinking Steelseries if i find bad stuff about every other keyboards. Qpad if they're cheaper than expected and coolermaster if i can raise my budget (70-90€ actually). What would be your choice ?
