I honestly can`t see warp prism speed fixing the toss issues, I just simply can`t. The issue is that the other 2 races are too cost efective atm so protoss unless turtle and making the ultimate deathball or early all-in/cheese doesn`t have too much presence.
But if the warp prism buff goes , will be like:
Queens won`t be able to kill it, corupters will be like: Corupter1: "Hay a warp prism". Corupter2: "Wait what?" Corupter 3: "It was a Hallucinat...."
Terrans will be like making vikings and reporting UFO sightings and be like: Medivacs: "They stole our jobs!"

This buff is not gonna change anything at higher levels.
It will. You will see more immortal allins with zealots because warp prism will be better with good micro. Early harass vs terran without stim. I am scared. It does not address lategame pvz cause with high economy the upgrade didn't mean so much, it was cheap anyways. This buff will change early game, warp prism openings and early harass instead of oracle. That's what i feel.

Can they just make afterburners on the medivac a research from stargate-techlab? Slightly off topic, but with medivacs being so insanely strong i don't see how that would be an unreasonable change.

let protoss use graviton beam to toss units around the map like tiny from dota instead

I think it's a pretty nice chance seeing as the Terran and Zerg harassment options have been buffed for HotS (medievacs and mutalisks). Seems to open a lot of new use and possibilities in each of the match ups for protoss while only being dangerous in the hands of a good player.

But I feel Protoss is underperforming because of the metagame. I rarely see 6 gate allins and a lot of other stuff that could be strong right now, but they are not doing. Early allins or turtle deathball is all I see, with the occasional 2/2 allins.

I actually love this. I'm gunna be killing your workers with my colossi without fear of it dying now!

Really dislike it. Like, in the lategame its not a real buff, as you can affors the upgrade anyways. In the midgame, it is like a medivac with permaboosters, which sounds pretty brutal. I think they should just buff the speed and the speed postupgrade.

Seriously though, with the old buff on warp prism health this would be way way way to difficult to beat. Maybe if they dropped shield or health I could see the speed increase being fair. If protoss can figure out how to stop the speed vacs, I am sure terran can figure out how to stop a speed prism. Its not like it is going to warp in two hellbats. not a problem at all, just give terrans a spell that makes the orbital into a Planetary Fortress with 2x the range, like the nexus cannon, and you can defend every early small army aggression.

I am so hype. I have been using warp prisms in all matchups recently and this does not rustle my jimmies.

This is nice idea. It will not boost robo rushes, but will give some multi pronged attack options with colosus attacks in midgame. I approve.

yesss wh00h00 that's awesome!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this change! Terran got speedvacs, so this is only fair. It will also encourage more WP usage and lets Protoss player with more APM shine. I love the approach Blizzard is taking to balance this time around and I love the buff. Can't wait to see speed prisms flying everywhere :p

as a terran player I'm a bit worried but I like where blizzard is going

I approve of the buff, only because I know it will be OP. But it will be fun. I feel like there needs to be more OP things so the same thing doesn't happen all the time. Of course, it's better to start OP then balance from that point. But that may just be me.

I like this. Smart idea for balance. Maybe after playing around on the test map, then we can see!

Colossus drop openings in PvT will now have ranged colossus in the drop since range can be researched earlier. Seems really strong.

Having it available as soon as a Robotics Facility is down I think just allows for way too many early game cheese builds. True, true, but it could give an opportunity for Protoss to damage Zerg players' economy. And nobody likes an undamaged Zerg economy.
Because Phoenix don't damage Zerg econ at ALL, right?

Absolutely. I've long felt this too. So much of the Protoss game is reliant on a melee unit, the zealot. Unfortunately, the Stalker - balanced around Blink - is unable to be the backbone of the Protoss army (in the same way the Dragoon was in BW). I'd like to either see a small buff to Stalker health and base damage stats together with a nerf to Blink (a longer cooldown for instance); or, as you suggest, better upgrades (rather than the paltry +1/0 it currently gets) and a small health buff.
A stronger Stalker would, I think, open up more viable small scale engagements for Protoss.

I really like this idea.
1. It breaks up the deathball slightly, which is a good direction. 2. Makes for more interesting games to both play and watch.
As for this breaking mech PvT, I agree for sure. Mech in TvP is quite unattractive right now. Honestly I've seen a simple solution to the ineffectiveness of tanks in TvP: Siege tank: +25 Damage to protoss shields, pretty much how the widow mine operates. Immortals now take 9 tank shots to kill, instead of 15 tank shots (which is ridiculous).
Needless to say, immortals would still be incredibly tanky even with a buff like this.
