This this this. No one is gonna get prisms before collosi. This buff will be the sprinkles on top of the collosi/voidray cake. | ||

In small numbers, they hold up well versus other races tier 1 units, but as armies get larger, they become useless except for tanking. | ||

This really doesn't have anything to do with the thread (and that idea is still pretty funny), the issue is about warp prism speed, and it's a great way to increase their mobility to get around/attack before those counters youre listing up. that's the point | ||

In any case, as a protoss, I'd really like this change. Robobay + upgrade really is quite an investment for a fast prism, and fast prisms are a lot of fun. | ||

As for warp prism speed, I'm very nostalgic when it comes to BW and fond of the philosophy of it should be possible to kill dropships/transporting units. I want to feel like it's possible to lose a warp prism, or when I'm watching a game that there is some risk attached to a medivac drop. Either make everything slower or give everyone a scourge... it honestly tilts me and feels dirty knowing there's now way in hell my warp prism will die. I'm tired of winning games against swarm hosts and feeling so compelled to quit SC 2. Winning games against swarm hosts are even harder on me than tough losses. There's nothing more painful and ridiculous than playing against swarm hosts on some of these maps. Winning or losing is completely irrelevant. It's always a horrible feeling. A change to counter swarm hosts? Lol. Warp prims already don't die. You can already snipe their main, etc, etc,. But, you can't ever engage their army because you know it's never going to be anywhere near cost efficient. So, you have to play an hour long game where you try to get every expo and make sure they have no mining bases, and then you still are afraid to engage and are simply trying to pick 1 or 2 swarm hosts off here and there. The game is a complete fuck job and this is a joke if this is supposed to help. I didn't realize warp prisms spawned free units. I guess warp in's must be free, as long as via the warp prism. If that doesn't sound balanced, then maybe the swarm host shouldn't, either. | ||
