While I appreciate that sometimes people need to be put on the spot, because it can reveal more to the audience. It also elongated a lot of conversations beyond their natural length and limited interaction from other sotg members with less forceful personalities.
For better or worse thanks for the run you gave us Geoff. I really do admire your tendency to always speak your mind. You gave us a lot of highs and a fair number of lows. But you definitely added a lot to the discussion. All and all a pretty good run.
This sums up my feelings perfectly.

Inc stated that if you're going to be a spokesperson for sc2, you have to censor yourself. Destiny's response was something like, i don't try to be a spokesperson for sc2.
Let me ask this... Did Michael Jordan have a choice as to whether or not he represented the NBA when he was a player? No. His actions were closely watched. I think that as SC2 grows, players like Destiny, incontrol, idra, and other people like Djwheat, Day9, artosis, etc are going to become the michael jordans of SC2. If they play sc2 as pro gamers or as commentators, they will be the voice that sponsors like razor, steelseries, etc see first when they decide whether or not they will sponsor esports.
So, whether or not some of destiny's comments are ultimately right or wrong, we need to look at how such sponsors are going to view the specific language that was discussed on SotG. That kind of language could very easily affect whether or not certain sponsors choose to support SC2.
I know that Destiny's claim is that he doesn't want this kind of notoriety, or that he doesn't want to gain the kind of fans that are offended by his language, but I want to know if it's worth it to potentially hold back the whole SC2 E-sports scene, just to maintain his image among his current stream fans.

I can't speak for everyone, but I certainly would never watch SOTG again if destiny was on it.

All he really said about it was "Trust me I have good reasons"
I doubt that EG forced iNcontroL of sotg. idrA is a member of both inside the game and JP has made him a pillar of sotg and idrA is also on EG.
I feel that ITG was probably a very strong contributing factor for iNc's departure along with his depleting time due to his prominent role in NASL.
I think that with iNc's recent lack of success in the NASL as a competitor, (started off 3-0 but has gone 1-3 in his last 4 matches), makes him feel as if SOTG takes up a lot of what little valuable time he has to devote purely to practicing to stay a top competitor.

I will definitely miss geoff. I am not a huge fan of him as a caster or a caster. But without him as a host on SOTG I think he is almost essential.

A sad end to a great show =(. This is what occupied 1.5-3 hours of my life every week, just listening to what they had to say. Needless to say this will be an empty void that won't be filled =(.

Who were the girls, and where is geoff going?

Destiny is more like Dennis Rodman, and he got more people to watch basketball too. Incontrol is more like a Scottie Pippen.

I think the original outcry for incontrol casting SC2 came from fans of SotG, and in a sense this feels a bit like selling out. Oh well, people move on.
Personally this may affect how much I pay attention to the SC2 community and scene. Without an SotG (hopefully it comes back strong) I fear my interest may wane. TSL is done and foreigners are playing a smaller role in GSL. I guess there is hope in me that MLG will turn things around (as opposed to the last MLG)...

Let me guess. You know someone who has been raped?
Destiny did very well today actually, and got his points across far better then he did on WoC the other day. Hell, even idra agreed with him on some stuff

how long was today's episode and will it be uploaded today?

i think they need to get a "buddy" on there again. for me this is what made SotG great...
so pls no destiny and take someone all of u know.

I agree with this. Destiny is really intelligent and i think that he can contribute a lot to pretty much any discussion. Also, the simple fact that he is Destiny means that he is going to bring some passion and will be able to spark some good arguments, because thats what Destiny does. I'm all for Destiny as a pillar for sotg

Or maybe they would rather have another person who is more knowledgeable? Destiny is good, but he is not a Tyler, IdrA, or Incontrol. I'd be happy if IdrA became a regular.

Bye inc, was great having you.

I think the replacement for Geoff needs to be someone they are all friends with and get along with. Look at the pillars, they have known each other for quite awhile and are all friends. Thats really what makes this show so great, the chemistry these guys have together.

they didnt talk about much this episode

I don't think IdrA is a pillar. He has always just been a special guest. I'm pretty sure i heard on the last SOTG or WoC, can't remember exactly, but incontrol said IdrA got "permission" to come on. I won't speculate just pointing this out. I hope Geoff or Idra win MLG this weekend though :D

No, I don't find his persona entertaining or likable. I don't like the way he talks or projects himself, or his attitude. I find destiny annoying enough that I would actually turn down watching something with idra (who is my idol) Just to not have to listen to destiny.
