No curse, just Daniel Levy thinking he is much smarter than he actually is, as usual. Selling Walker and letting the season start without replacing him has cost Spurs at least two points. Trippier at fault for the Burnley goal and was diabolical against Chelsea. Going from Rose and Walker to Davies and Trippier...yikes.
Issue is what happened in the Liverpool game is down to the players he buys and the team ethic he has. It was like playground football, Ramsey holding midfield running forward into the box and walking back. In an away game as a holding midfielder? Xhaha is mediocre at best as well in that position. Rob Holding is also Calum Chambers 2.0 he just is not top tier centre half. Oxlade is not a wingback either, its so many square pegs in round holes. Add in the manager seems to disrespect every opponent by thinking he can play that way in a top 6's team backyard. A team ethic is built by the manager and Wenger has not bought any players like Viera/Adams/Henry who lead the dressing room in forever.
If anyone has 20 minutes try and find Souness Carragher Neville Henry dissect the performance. Henry an Arsenal fan turned around mid game and couldn't watch it anymore and wanted to walk out! xD

But he wants to stay don't worry.
Not sure why they're not just selling him. It's better to grab some money for him and buy a replacement. Unmotivated players are useless.
I don't know the particular situation well but often clubs stand their ground as signaling for future players. Setting the example reduces the chances for future desertions. The flipside is that it might make the club less appealing for players coming in.

Except that if Mbappe selfdestructs or gets horribly injured, PSG can say they don't want him after all,and Monaco left with their dick in their hands.
It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Unless the "loan" contract is a very weird one, and essentially a sale, but with a 1-year delay on payment.

Pretty much everyone assumes this to be a "must buy". This kind of contracts is rather common, usually with Italian clubs.
And as said earlier, the idea of making this a loan was already to circumvent FFP.
Still time until the end of the transfer window. Real Madrid still can gift Bale to some poor team. Maybe they can add Benzema to the package too... And then buy 1 decent forward.

The Arsenal situation is giving me respect for Pep Guardiola coming into the City scene and showing everyone he's boss. Arsène Wenger just seems to weak sometimes. He's getting pushed around by the players and the situation is becoming untenable. He was tactically poor today but whatever he was trying to do the players look like they won’t even listen to him anymore.
