Adding a year to his deal that ran until 2015 was hardly a commitment, rather than simply postponing the departure. Now Gündogan is favoured in several reports by credible sources in Germany to even extend his deal with Borussia Dortmund for two more years. His father and agent Ilhan Gündogan was quoted by Süddeutsche Zeitung: “Dortmund is an option again. A lot speaks for it, as it will be easier für Ilkay to find back to his old level in familiar and comfortable surroundings.” His manager also revealed, that Gündogan and Thomas Tuchel are in contact. Tuchel’s ideas are apparently intriguing enough for “Ilkay to consider it... Talks from everyone about BVB getting totally dismantled after this past season and we might not even lose a single quality player... :D why would you want to keep gündogan hes not good atm and he is going to leave as soon as he gets good again Because 1) Yes, he is good. He may not be great, but he's good, and with time he can recover from his injury and improve. 2) With another year, it gives him time to recover and improve his form, which will then result in a much higher price tag for him a year from now. I agree. Gündogan staying is definitely the best option for Dortmund. Some Dortmund fans just have hurt feelings. You know what hurt my feelings? When I stood there watching our game against Juventus with Gündogan avoiding every single defensive challenge that would've been so important for the team. And when I saw that again against every team in the whole Bundesliga except in the game vs Schalke when in a massive effort he assisted Mkhi.
That is about 50% on Klopp on playing him all the time even though he was shit and 50% on Gündogan because he seems to be afraid to get injured again. Gündogan worked because of Sahin for some time. He might improve again and we'll all be happy but our feelings aren't hurt because he said he wanted to leave but because he wasn't giving his everything. Lewandowski's advisors were worse but in the 90 minutes when football was the only thing that counted you would never notice that Lewandowski wanted to play for another club.
And you have to remember that because of media reports everybody thinks that Gündogan leaving would've earned 20m € this summer. It's not only about his skills but the potential money the club might earn. Add that after the last season most people would've liked to see more drastic roster changes you get a situation that makes Gündogan the perfect player to sell.

The suspension is due to his actions during the U.S. Open Cup match between Seattle Sounders FC and Portland Timbers on June 16, 2015. press releaseSo for anyone that thought the Dempsey ban was too soft, this is a minimum two maximum six year ban, depending on when his team drops out. Six games or two years man....not six year ban o.O That is what I read first too, but: a total of six U.S. Open Cup matches or the next two years of U.S. Open Cup competition, whichever is greater If they fail in the first round like they did this year, he will be banned for 6 years. edit: first round not year Sorry you are right, I did not assume they would bomb out of the cup so soon. True. Sorry once again. Heh no worries, the punishment is just as confusing to me as it is to you.

From a purely technical view France vs USA/Japan will be better

Brutal for France when you count the no call in the first half.

I feel bad for france, really. It's such a shame that 2 of the top3 teams (possibly the top 2) have to play each other in the quarterfinals.

If that ref is Canadian then it is the one that was massively criticized for shitty refereeing after the last game. Mostly because she was not fast / fit enough to keep up with the game. Of course she get's another important game.

This game is really putting the handling rule under a microscope.

France gutted their own attack with their subs it seems like.
Wow, horrible fail. Epic 116' tap in miss.

Still not realizing what's happening because I'm baffled by that miss.

France has no one to blame but themselves if they lose this. Should have scored a couple

How sad is it that women shoot better pks than men?
Probably because men actually became worse in PK
