Everything I can find about him online mentions that he is great on the ball and at passing, and according to whoscored.com he averages 3.8 tackles per game (4th most in Ligue 1) and 87.8% pass completion, so he isn't afraid of making a challenge. And people seem to like him more than Capoue (who, comparatively, averages 2.4 tackles per game and 80.8% pass completion), plus Gonalons already has experience playing in Europe. Seems like a great fit for Arsenal (plus he's 6'2", so he has even more of what our midfield lacks: height). ![[image loading]](http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/003/010/814/hi-res-162273768_display_image.jpg?1362071929) PLEASE SIGN HIM UP WENGER
Wow nice find Ferrose! I wouldn't mind him in Chelsea with those stats. Being 6ft 2 only emphasizes how good he must be. Running the midfield, being tall and aggressive, plus to top it off the guy can pass...at 87% season average! AWESOME

It's just normal football life. Big clubs take the good players from the not so good clubs and those take the players from even worse clubs.
"Not so good clubs..." Dortmund is 2-time Champion in the last 2 years and CL Winner, Idiot.

Lol Dude Dortmund have 0 money....they would be fucking stupid as fuck, if they did not accept big $$s offers for their players. The reason Dortmund won the league the last time was because Bayern had a HUGE off season! Inter team fighting, players unrest and manager problems.
But financially, the main reason this transfer has happened, Dortmund had no choice. The same when Lewandoski goes and the same when probably Reus and Hummels go too.

So? He was still born and bred in Dortmund. Also, buying Reus was still a huge gamble, as it wasn't known that he would perform so fantastically at BVB (he didn't perform even close to this well at Gladbach - he just showed a lot of potential). Really, Reus wasn't actually a sellout in any sense.
Nobody, seriously nobody, was pissed about Özil leaving. Absolutely no reason to. Most were happy about a German playing for Real.
And Reus was the best player of the Bundesliga in his last season for Gladbach, it was solely him carrying them to their best finish in a long time, after nearly being relegated the season before. He was massive. Can't say that he has been that good this season. He plays a good season so far, but nothing outstanding. € @Pandemona Dortmund just played great last season, especially in the second half. They scored 47 out of 51 possible points(a lot of them without Götze because he was injured for quite some time, funnily enough)

Yes, and that puts them in the top tier league in European football. But it doesnt make them super top tier league where Barca, Real & Bayern (and possible some EPL clubs as well) currently reside. If they were they wouldnt have the need to put in buyout clauses for 37mio in their contracts. If they continue their current route that will change of course in the next few years.

LOL Ok so whats the excuse this season..... Bayern had there manager they hired the back end of last season at the start of this season, bought in Mandukzic Shakiri and Dante. Have played well and won the league comfortably with many games spare. Dortmund if anything, improved on their title winning squad with the signing of Reus...and have been pretty poor (domestically) leaking goals all be it scoring lots too, but leaking lots of goals and not playing that well.

Luis Suarez Banned for 10 Matches for Biting Ivanovic
The FA have handed Liverpool's Luis Suarez a 10match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic in Sunday's two all draw.
Luis Suarez has been suspended for a total of ten matches after an Independent Regulatory Commission today ruled on a charge of violent conduct.
A three-person Independent Regulatory Commission today upheld The FA’s claim that a suspension of three matches was clearly insufficient and the player will serve a further seven first-team matches in addition to the standard three. The suspension begins with immediate effect.
This follows an incident with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in Sunday’s fixture at Anfield.
The Liverpool forward had accepted a charge of violent conduct but had denied The FA’s claim that the standard three-match sanction was insufficient for the offence.
The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed – click here for a video explanation of ‘not seen incidents’.
Suarez has until midday on Friday 26 April to appeal the additional suspension, above the standard three matches.

The wait for his punishment announcement was nail biting.

Who's talking about this season? You're bringing it up to change the subject. Your argument is that Dortmund won the title last season due to Bayern having "a HUGE off season." My argument is that Bayern has never in its history had a domestic season as good as Dortmund's in 2012-13, so there's no proof that they would have been better with an "on season."
Also, you conveniently left off Bayern's most expensive signing ever (Javi Martinez, €40m), which was made specifically to fix the weakness in their team exposed by Dortmund multiple times last season. Mandzukic has been a big upgrade over Gomez because of the things he does off the ball. Dante has been a revelation and a GIGANTIC improvement over Badstuber who has always been rather overrated. By dumb luck, Badstuber's injury made Bayern's defense much better, to the point that they have conceded 3 away goals in the Bundesliga this year.. Most importantly, defending a title is always much more difficult than winning it. Dortmund simply didn't have the same hunger domestically this season, and put most of their effort into the CL instead.
Again, you have no idea what you're talking about.

So...it is down to "hunger" Dortmund have not won this league title....ok. Thanks for the pro tip xD I admit i have no idea of game to game ratio of German domestic league, but what i do know is that the Dortmund side which "dominated" the league last season, to what they are this season domestically is completely different. It can't be just down to "not having the hunger" lol if you have no hunger to win another league title after winning 1 there is something wrong.... Personally i think they got found out pretty quickly tactically, and i think it will show tonight tactically vs Mr Mourinho.

I give you a laundry list of ways in which Bayern has improved its team, and you take my argument to be purely about hunger? Hunger (and focus on the CL) is definitely the main reason for Dortmund's lesser domestic performance this season, but this Bayern team is much better than the one from 2011-2012. They aren't comparable at all.
edit: Also, Bayern has had more fighting and media problems this year than they did last year.

or just direct your anger towards the general football market, fight for introducing wage caps (which would make many more teams economically competitive) or whatever. but neither götze nor bayern deserve any hate for this. bayern has actually made their money also.
I mean basically if you're gonna hate on any player who leaves the club that developed them or whatever, then you're essentially saying ; if you want to win trophies, you can't sign your youth contract for one of the not-biggest clubs. bayern has _dominated_ bundesliga this season and they would win next season regardless of whether they signed götze.
Its just people being butt hurt really.
I dont see what the problem is at all. I was kinda happy for him.

Gonalons looks like a good fit for Arsenal, indeed. Surprised I forgot about him when weighing up defensive mids to buy. Him and Jovetic joining in the summer would be amazing.
Suarez' punishment seems pretty fair to me. It's a lot of games, but what he did was mind-numbingly stupid. Hopefully he learns from this, because he's a fantastic footballer.

I like how you comment on American culture in a sarcastic way while simultaneously demonstrating the fact that you know nothing about American sports culture. American sports is not just a business; there are far more financial restrictions and institutions in play that promote competitiveness (discouraging the same teams from dominating consistently) than there is in European football (or probably any other sports in any other countries). Really, absolutely nothing works the same as it does in Europe. You don't train in sports in the city you grew up in, then just sign with a club, and work your way through the ranks. You play sports in school, and then you are drafted or signed into a professional team. Players in the U.S. (for better or for worse) have almost no say in where they go. Furthermore, American sports culture looks down on sellouts quite harshly. Loyalty and integrity comes in when you pay respect to the franchise that first used a draft pick on you or took the risk to sign you if you went undrafted. Players that just sell out on promising teams to go win easy championships or go after the big bucks ( especially if it's to a rival) are actually criticized quite harshly (Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Brett Favre, Albert Pujols, etc.). its the ONE thread on tl where we didnt have to have eu vs us and you still manage to slip it in,you tried yesterday and you post the same shit again today.please stop, youre annoying as fuck
