Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear:
Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams.
Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV. |

If you have not then you need to wait a week.

So... I kinda could only watch a few games, what are the recommended games?(I saw the last 2 naniwa games vs Leenock and DRG)
And while the quality is amazing I still feel kinda iffy in that I paid the same for GSL....
I really am loving the Arena so far but I still think MLG needs to reconsider the price. But oh well if it sells enough at this price I guess the market values MLG at that price more XD

any one has a link to the vod of Huk v Ret G3, the darned official site says "there is no game 3 played for this series"
sadface i hope they eventually get around to fixing it

But a VERY VERY sad day for IM I'm going to get tired of foreigners patting themselves on the back and saying "Hey guys at least we took some games and like 3 matches!" Its like being super thrilled with winning the sportsmanship trophy. Foreigners need to step up their game. Maybe they think this is awesome since we were terrible compared to the Koreans in BW, but come on. Why does it even matter? I like koreans. Is there something wrong with rooting for DRG, MC, or MKP even when there are foreigners playing? They are talented, have great personalities, connect with their fans.. why choose to root for someone else just because they are 'outsiders'? I actually wouldn't care if foreigners were never able to compete, and I wouldn't care if foreigners completely dominated, so long as the scene keeps growing. I didn't get into SC2 by looking at every single player, Korean or foreign, then choosing to root for the foreigners because they are "more like me". Don't assume I'm some kind of xenophobe. I started watching SC2 when I didn't even know about the korean scene, back in the beta. I rooted for white-ra and TLO back in the HDH, I rooted for HuK when he beat Kiwikaki to win his first MLG. THESE were the players that got me into SC2. Then to see pretty much all of them take a back seat to a lot of players I don't have the same kind of connection with is depressing. In my personal case, its the foreign scene that "grew" me as an esports fan. I'd never followed anything like this before SC2 beta. That's reasonable, and I don't have a problem with it. I was similar, in that my favorite player was TLO and my first exposure to the korean scene was Tester back in beta. But after following GSL for so long I feel closer to these players than I ever did to the foreigner scene, and their play is truly inspiring. To see so many people root against them and wish for them to fail is pretty lame to me. They work harder than anyone else and a lot of them don't have the results or recognition to have made it worth it yet. I feel like they deserve better, not necessarily by people like you but those that stop watching tournaments once the foreigners are out or refuse to cheer for them when they win.
I don't really know if anyone is being malicious in rooting for foreigners and (necessarily for a lot of tournaments) against Koreans. I mean one kind of has to fail in order for the other to win. I'm sure the cultural barriers do play a part, though. I think one of the reasons MC is so popular outside of Korea is that he seems to act so... non-Korean. He's got a personality and an attitude that he puts out there, plus he can also speak a bit of English. For a lot of people, just having inspiring play alone isn't enough for them to become a fan.

Regarding Huk, its not that most people dislike him (they don't), its that he got placed so high with hands down the easiest run in the tournament.
Huk went through:
Minigun, socke, Ret, and Oz. Thats three foreigners, only one of which could be considered a challenge, and Oz, a PvP.
Naniwa went through:
Grubby, MKP (dropped to losers bracket), Sheth, Nestea, Leenock, and finally lost to DRG.
Does anyone think Huk could have made it as far as Naniwa did in that run? I honestly don't, but maybe im wrong.

wow huk is so fucking power. GO HUK

The best players identify when to do this. Yeah, except for the fact that its a 6 pool so they dont actually know through scouting information, they cheese and hope for a build order win. Hope you understand now.. You can say the exact samething the other way around too: Naniwa takes the risk to Nexus first (even before forge) without scouting so they dont actually know through scouting information, they eco-cheese and hope to gain a build order advantage. Hope you understand now..
Yes, a slightly earlier nexus before forge is on the same level as a 6 pool. Christ all mighty, there is nothing more I can say.. your comment speaks for itself.

Hmm this post really sums up how I feel, the people Naniwa went through was insanely more difficult then what HuK went through, oh wells, that's life for you. Kinda really increased by respect for Naniwa's play though.

Why not? Huk has gone further than Naniwa in most other tournaments. People keep under-rating Huk for some reason even though he's the most accomplished foreigner. Imagine if Idra has the same accomplishments as Huk. Idra is treated more like a star than Huk does. It's ridiculous.

I hope MKP wins the whole event

Huk beat Socke whos best matchup is PvP, Ret is Zerg and HuK has a terrible record against Zerg and then Oz who is one of the best protoss players on the world.
Naniwa beat Grubby in PvP which Grubby has issues with, MKP who is very good but in a matchup that is currently toss favoured, Sheth who is very good but the nestea and leenock games were so weird I dont know how to quantify them in terms of difficulty.
Naniwa was played to with the cheese and HuK rarely nexus firsts so its hard to say that the series' would be similar at all for HuK vs those players. Naniwa was able to defend cheese and cheese back so its hard to qualify those games.
Then again there is a benefit to staying in WB and thats what HuK had he got to stay in WB had naniwa stayed in WB it would have been better for him too
