Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear:
Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams.
Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV. |

But a VERY VERY sad day for IM I'm going to get tired of foreigners patting themselves on the back and saying "Hey guys at least we took some games and like 3 matches!" Its like being super thrilled with winning the sportsmanship trophy. Foreigners need to step up their game. Maybe they think this is awesome since we were terrible compared to the Koreans in BW, but come on. Why does it even matter? I like koreans. Is there something wrong with rooting for DRG, MC, or MKP even when there are foreigners playing? They are talented, have great personalities, connect with their fans.. why choose to root for someone else just because they are 'outsiders'? I actually wouldn't care if foreigners were never able to compete, and I wouldn't care if foreigners completely dominated, so long as the scene keeps growing.
I didn't get into SC2 by looking at every single player, Korean or foreign, then choosing to root for the foreigners because they are "more like me". Don't assume I'm some kind of xenophobe.
I started watching SC2 when I didn't even know about the korean scene, back in the beta. I rooted for white-ra and TLO back in the HDH, I rooted for HuK when he beat Kiwikaki to win his first MLG. THESE were the players that got me into SC2. Then to see pretty much all of them take a back seat to a lot of players I don't have the same kind of connection with is depressing. In my personal case, its the foreign scene that "grew" me as an esports fan. I'd never followed anything like this before SC2 beta.

He lucks his way through tournaments on lucky draws in which he gets PvP after PvP (his best match-up and a coinflip at that)
And people have the gall to say he's on par with Koreans?
He did the exact same thing when he won MLG and Homestory Cup.
PvP and lucky draws. PvP is his worst match up He says a lot of things, like how Oz is the best PvP player right now and then proceeded to 2-0 him.

Tomorrow's gonna be a great day! Hoping for Huk/DRG in the grand finals. Whoever wins doesn't matter, these are all good people who deserve championships.

I thought there were some good games today, particuary enjoyed Leenok Naniwa.

MKP!!!! C'mon MKP no NesTea, no MVP.... this is your time!!!

Huk really did get incredibly lucky, hes in the winner finals by playing only 1 korean in a PvP?

PvP and lucky draws.
Only player with 2 MLG titles, Homestory III full of koreans, 1st placed foreigner in every MLG he went since the start of MLG exchange program except providence, GSL Code S for a long time, going up to Ro8, he might be very lucky then!

PvP and lucky draws. PvP is his worst match up According to TLPD (both of them) actually it is PvT > PvP > PvZ for HuK.
Having said that though I disagree with the initial statement. * On his MLG Orlando run he beat July and MarineKing 2-0 and then StC with 2-1. * At Dreamhack Summer that he won he only played 2 PvPs out of his 9 matches, going 4-1 in the matchup.
Also do you forget that HuK had a very bad PvP streak at the end of last year which knocked him out of the IPL3 (Inori), Assembly Invitational (elfi), MLG Providence (NaNiwa), DreamHack Winter (Seiplo) and NASL2 (HasuObs)?

The best players identify when to do this. Yeah, except for the fact that its a 6 pool so they dont actually know through scouting information, they cheese and hope for a build order win. Hope you understand now.. It's been almost half a year since Naniwa did something other than a FFE on ANY map. I think it's reasonable to 6pool in that case.

When a 6 pool counters hard counters build a and is countered by build b, and your opponent goes build a 90% of the time, which would you do? It's not a coin flip, its a very good gamble

its so annoying hearing everyone take away the wins Huk won just cuz they weren't all korean.. he still won, you can't take that away from him.

He is currently playing his PvZ so rigid that it would be stupid to not throw the 6pool in once in a while.

Is DRG/Parting tomorrow going to be an extended series?

I don't understand a lot of the hate that huk gets. Haters gonna gate I guess. He plays to win and makes it look easy when it's not at all easy. He won against one of the top protoss in the world and deserves his spot. I think a lot of people don't like him because he's on EG and not on TL anymore. Who knows.

So what? So did MVP lost to so many, almost lost to a 12 yo (creatorprime) in code A. So did Nestea, DRG against Nani in providence, MC several times. Guess what "All king must die!" Players have good and bad phases.

Just looking at Huks 2 MLG wins, you can't say that his 2nd one wasn't a much bigger accomplishment than his first. You HAVE to look at his competition. If Huk beats a diamond in a ladder game, that's the same level of accomplishment as beating a GM player? Hey, he still won....
edit: I don't hate Huk, I actually want him to win this. But you can't look at his draw and say that wasn't incredibly lucky. If Naniwa ended up winning against the players he faced, I'd consider that a much MUCH bigger deal.
