Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear:
Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams.
Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV. |

Suddenly? You must be new to SC2.

was hoping for ret and haypro domination this tournament. so sad that ret got cheesed out and haypro's loss to sjow was hard to swallow as well, i feel he had game 2 in the bag. all the what ifs will keep me up tonight.

The common factor here is that Naniwa opens very greedy, so an intelligent response to that is to cheese him and collect your free win.
The best players identify when to do this.

Karma. 2nd place in TSL. Won an MLG. 2nd place at Providence. Won the MLG Global Invitational, Beating MVP and Nestea. Come on, man, don't say he's without accomplishments. I'm not saying he's the best there is, but he's not a scrub for damn sure.

Well, I guess it depends on what you call major but he did get 2nd in the TSL3, 2nd at MLG providence, and won a pre korean invites MLG.
That is more than what many other progamers can say about their career.
I´m no Naniwa fanboy but lets give the guy some credit.

Karma. Is that a joke? He´s won more than most foreigners and he got the toughest possible matches possible this MLG.

I guess we don't need to respect your post based on the same logic.

This has been a sick tournament. For MLG attempting PPV for the first time (it's had some setbacks) the overall experience has been pretty good. I am surprised at the large contrast between viewing a free stream or two from a tournament and reading results elsewhere for not-casted matches, to where you have every game casted, content between matches in commentary/interviews with players and casters, and a relatively smooth interface to customize the view. the audio is great and being able to click streams to switch to the action is pretty f-ing cool.
Considering you get 3 days of this, I don't think $20 is unreasonable. For the issue with people being able to view without paying, perhaps a small discount or credit could be given to those who bought passes this time? That way they can work out the issue for the next Arena so it doesn't happen again, and the people who paid this time get a bit of fairness (albeit at MLG's expense) and will help ensure the rest of the profit on the next Arena pass for MLG
I personally am fine with the $20, but I don't want a negative experience/perception among the community for something that has been good on so many other levels

(editorial remark: I don't mind cheese at all. But if you told me a week ago that Nestea, Leenock, and DRG would 6-10 pool in the same day, I would have called you crazy)
It should tell you something when the three best zerg players in the world all cheese you at least once each in a bo3..
Watching Naniwa play against smart zerg is hilarious to watch (because they adapt to his play). He is obviously a great player, his micro and decision making during engagements is really high level. This doesn't change the fact that he has an enormous, obvious hole in his play and he won't reach his full potential until he plugs that leak.
It's not like Nestea, DRG and Leenock are known for cheesing (leenock maybe a little..). It's only against Naniwa because he is so predictable.

What's the difference? Mvp is probably not playing his best if he's losing so early in tournaments lately.
And Naniwa is currently #13 on sc2earnings, behind HuK and Stephano among foreigners.

DRG destroys naniwa. Naniwa just isn't top tier. He always struggles with the current GSL champs.

Winning a BO3 against Nestea and Leenock isn't an accomplishment?
Rising above his reputation and holding a 6 pool and a 10pool with workers killed isn't an accomplishment?
Defeating Leenock in a strait up macro game (game three) isn't an accomplishment?
What the fuck man, can't you give a guy credit for vanquishing his demons by defeating the two opponents he had the most to prove against?
Edit: The post above mine is fantastic.

I don't disagree with any of that. I think it's perfectly fine for players to punish his builds. They should! I was talking about the fools who degrade naniwa when manages to defend and win a game or two. Personally I've never had a problem with people doing cheeses of any kind.

I'm going to get tired of foreigners patting themselves on the back and saying "Hey guys at least we took some games and like 3 matches!" Its like being super thrilled with winning the sportsmanship trophy. Foreigners need to step up their game. Maybe they think this is awesome since we were terrible compared to the Koreans in BW, but come on.

I agree, this is just terrible. It's so hard to root for people I know will fail terribly too...

Agreed, MKP used to be the king of TvZ but it's only the past month or two that his TvP has REALLY stepped up.
