Accomplished != good.. Kas and Idra are both accomplished and good, Kas is a player with a nice attitude, awesome macro and is known for tearing through online tournaments like knife through butter. Idra has not really a nice attitude, good macro too -- but seriously, larva injects make it so easy for any zerg to be a macro player -- and more LAN accomplishments. Kas has beaten Idra in most of their head to head matches ,online and now on LAN. I don't understand how this became a my dad has a bigger d@#k than your dad argument. . .they both top players.

After seeing him not gg for the last few thousand ladder matches, you would think people had realized him not gging has little to do with emotions. That is not to say he isn't angry or "raging" when he loses to someone like kas, but he was never going to gg, no matter how the games went.

They are still working it out. Technically if you have the better record it would make sense for the person who has the fewest loses to move on because they have the better record. Technicalities. I can't even comprehend how unfair that rule would be. Beat someone 2-0 and then because you lost one more map than said person, your out. Should be counted only by wins and if tied on wins then tiebreaker. I don't think direct result should override map difference, especially if you've played all Bo3s. The rules are standard, they're good.
+ direct results don't count in this situation, that's the whole point of a tree way tie.
Gruppy won 2-0 vs DeathAngel -> He should advance! Sen won 2-0 vs Grubby -> He should advance! DeathAngel won 2-0 vs Sen -> He should advance! -> Problem ^^
Yeah sure you can play tiebreakers between those players, but that can cost you a lot of time. At one IEM (think Kiew) they had a three way tie between 3 players (Socke and Sjow were 2 of them I believe) and player A kept beating player B, but kept losing to player C who kept losing to player B. Such things can really mess up the tournament schedule. So the rule as it is, is a good thing. DeathAngel and Sen both were able to beat DeViL 2-0, whereas Grubby dropped a map and is out. Nothing unfair about this.

There's a reason to play to win your group you know..? No there's not. wtf man? 1st and 2nd is all the same this time. Uhm nope... if you get second you get two of the numbers 1's in other groups and if you get the first place, you get only one other 1st place finisher. So it's not all the same. It could become that way, but this time no... nowhere in the rules does it say that every group will have 2 #1 and 2 #2 in them. I'm quite sure that will be the case though? Anything else would be stupid.

while this may be true, alot of people grossly exaggerate idra "rage". the guy doesn't GG out of pure contempt for the game, if he could be making the money he does now and be playing BW he would. while i agree that not saying GG is disrespectful, the way people point it out every time it happens is silly and almost as old as idra not gg'ing. but just like real sports i guess we are starting to see the rise of forum warriors. but just like the people who play video games are different than 10 years ago, so is TL, i miss lurking around 4 years ago =/

Dreamhack sc2-admin here.
We are currently playing out all the groups but without streamers due to the time. Really tense. After this we will make the draws of tomorrows groups offline in the player-area as soon as huk vs eeel and seala vs titan is done. Stay tuned on our binarybeast to see the advancing players of today and tomorrows groups.
Cheers.

It's a bad build that idra didn't expect because as a zerg it's so incredibly easy to counter. It's "good" because it's bad. It is not like Idra lost to Kas once, he lost to him on multiple occasions
Christ, another lowleague level player who think it's possible to scout zvt when terran has hellions out, IT JUST ISN*T.Yeah and on those multiple occasions kas has almost all of the times done really greedy/risky builds. not saying it's bad, kas clearly knows idra's play style very well and is capitalizing on it by blindly hard countering him.

Idra didn't scout what was Kas was doing and that justifies him calling Kas terrible? Really? Yep Idra fanboys at their finest. I'm not an idra fanboy just smart enough to realize that the build kas was doing was horrible, and the only reason it worked was because he idra didn't think there was any way he would use some bad build. The build is one of the few builds thats so hard countered it's not even funny. Sweet he made 14 hellions, i'll make 7 roaches and win. It wasn't creative, it wasn't a good build, it was just straight up that idra didn't expect it because it's such a horrible build. If you want to call the fact that kas chose a build and essentially got lucky being good then sure go ahead, but come on really? I don't know but this post reminds me of Foreigners still suck! : D some parts could be copy-paste, just switch F91 with Kas, but im not doing it
