I'm about 4-5 admin/diplo techs behind most europeans but way ahead in military. Just got hit with an 11 year regency so I should be able to catch up a bit. | ||

Had to use Qara as my beatstick against the Ottomans (QQ sucks seriously they did nothing but bleed the Ottoman treasury with 5% attrition in their wastelands...which counted for a lot actually) Turns out Venice is a surprisingly good gank target. Lost a war against Mamluks early but overall everything else is nice. Random Anatolian minor, Serbia, and Aq Qoyunlu are vassals | ||

How did you do that so quick? I'm currently playing as austria and only managed to get the first 2 reforms by 1515. And now I'm fucked for 100 years because half the northern HRE became protestant so my influence goes to - every month. | ||

I could have done it by 1544 if i wanted. I tried to chain the Mission where u need to Improve Realations with an Elector as much as possbile. U have to be a little tricky but it worked fine for me. I abandon mission i dont want to do or cant do quick. I try to hold the Relations with most of the Electors between 0-50- Mostly it was Saxony and Brandenburg and Trier which alternated the mission. If i got too much Relations with one of them due to recently fullfilling the Mission i broke marriage or formed an alliance and broke it again or whatever i had at my hands to bring it down to 49 again. This and i tired to keep the HRE as peacefull as possible witth atleast 40 members inculding the FreeCitys. It was´t hard at all. That said, i had so much Power so early this run thx to everything working my way, so i dont know if the above is as easy for u as it was for me. EDIT: Oh and dont forget that u get some IA (10 i think) if ur ruler dies before a certain Reform so try to plan accordingly | ||

Plan is to core Iberia/France manually once I polish off Asia. I ran the math and I think I'm going to run out of time for one-tag but maybe I'll get lucky (or go for 100% OE play, BYZ is okay for this) funnily enough I still haven't gotten basileus in this run yet | ||

Currently me and the boys curbstomp anyone who annexes anything inside the HRE and that was my intention for anyone choosing to switch religions as well. But if I understand it right I can't declare war if I pass the reform and then the reformation would run rampart because I can't shut down the centers of reformation? I have religious ideas pretty soon so I don't think I will have any trouble with it myself but it could mess up the HRE for me? | ||

I wanted to attempt a one-tag but not with Ottomans as that's been super overdone. I made a number of mistakes (focusing on Asia way too much and not securing strong vassals in Europe beforehand) as well as exhibited poor early-midgame play. It'll make an interesting review when I'm done. It's also a bit more interesting strategically than Ottomans in my opinion - for BYZ, Asia focus is necessary to snowball (as only overseas core cost abuse then integrating your buffers can give you monarch point efficient land) but not too much as otherwise all the shits in HRE get developed too much. Whereas with Ottomans you are not constrained to having to snowball in a certain direction. I still need to catch up in dip tech to get imperialism and client states. I honestly think religious CB is better than imperialism for WC purposes. With diplomatic it is very difficult to take 100% warscore of provinces within overextension limit, and its far easier to get to 80% warscore using superiority wars vs. wargoal especially since capitals are not easy to headshot with fort mechanics That said, both are useful but I would be content delaying imperialism. | ||

![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/NghUOPS.png) ayyyyy that just cut down the amount of wars needed to deal with Europe significantly france managed to burn my manpower from 240k->20k with 7k manpower per month. scary shit as always edit: apparently PU juniors still get massive AE when you conquer stuff. well fuck that, enforcing PUs is practically worthless then for WC purposes. edit2: i think I can force them to Orthodox which should help out on the AE front | ||

Nakama might be able to give you a more precise answer, but according to my experience ewiger landfriede is pretty good thanks to the massive bonus peace in the HRE gives you to IA. It really depends on the center of reformation-spawns and spreads though, since it means you cant force convert people anymore, so yeah when 10 or more states become protestant or reformed you essentially loose the bonus again (which will happen over time). So yeah it all depends on how fast you can revoke the privilegia. Because after that you usually dont care that much anymore about religion. | ||
