Ahhh, what a great stat! Finishing at the rim is really the best indicator of athleticism, at least in my opinion. I didn't get a chance to watch the game but I saw in the box score that Rose had 39 points, went 0-9 on threes and shot 21(!) free throws. I'm guessing he was both the reason they won and why the game was so close to begin with.

First game I've seen of Derrick Rose this year and I have to say I wasn't impressed, but I can't fault the guy for driving to the basket if Danny Crawford is going to give him free throws every time. Still, I don't see how they are going to get out of the Eastern Conference without a second player who can make his own shot.
Orlando is such a disappointing team....

Not at all, actually. Rose had 65% true shooting if you discount his two three quarter court heaves. The reason the game was so close was a combination of Carlos Boozer, terrible defense, and the Pacers shooting lights out.

anyone know where i can watch vods of the games? i missed the first 2 games.

I see, I didn't know he took two heaves. Both in the 3rd? Why would that happen though? Also, if you go 19-21 on free throws, your TS% will be just fine. I have the game Tivoed, so I'll probably be more informed in about 2 hours.

Bulls game gave me a goddamn heart attack. Fucking Boozer and his terrible D, made Hansbrough look like an all-star. I was so mad until Rose got mad and got MVP on people's asses. Great game, even if you're not a Bulls fan I recommend it.

The hyping up really started when Korver, the Bull's pretty much main shooter, hit a 3 to tie it, or something close. Then a couple of the players started getting the crowd hyped up, and there wasn't much time left in the 4th quarter. The Bulls ended up finishing it on top, and the crowd was just ecstatic. It makes sense, since the Bulls were behind the whole time, until the very last like 3 minutes.
I actually know someone who went to that game, and he's a Pacers fan. lol

No, I said three-quarter court to indicate their length. I think they were at the end of the first and third quarters.
Could Rose have done better taking a few less threes? Sure. There were one or two that I shook my head at. But I'm of the opinion that he needs to keep taking them to keep the defense honest. And the Bulls had several other glaring issues that you can blame for the Pacers leading the majority of the game over Rose missing 3s, IMO.

i dont watch much basketball, but im watching blazers vs mavericks and one of the commentators has such an annoying voice :/
Its like hearing a little kid or a girl talk, anyone know who i'm talking about?

D-Rose has to clean up his trey percentage (or stop shooting so many of them). Thibs walked off pissed; best believe that D will be right on Monday. helluva game by the Pacers though...gotta give credit where credit's due.
rofl @ the Magic. Dwight has 46 and they lose by 10. smfh.

I don't care when superstars take threes. 9 is fine, he just has to hit a couple regularly - he usually does. I'm watching the game right now and the Pacers seemed very locked in - I'm shocked they lost, actually.

So...Shaq got fatter...I didn't think he could have gotten fatter...but he proved me wrong...anyone got an accurate estimate on how chunky he is now? I haven't managed to catch the Celtics since the All-Star break and he looks significantly bigger than he did at the start of the season.

There's A LOT of rose fan boys here.....

Wow that was a great 4th quarter. I forgot how amazing Dirk was, the trick is he's creating shots, but they're very high quality shots (as opposed to Lebron's stupid I'm going to take a contested 3 10 feet from beyond the arc because I think I'm awesome).
And Cuban's more excited than any other owner. Too bad they keep accumulating overpriced veterans instead of undervalued talent like the Rockets, Portland, the Spurs, OKC.

Yeah, I don't think he's trying at all to stay in decent shape anymore. It makes the Perkins trade so much worse for the Celtics, they gave up their one advantage vs. Miami / Bulls. Not only that, but it has to be a bad example on the rest of the team, I don't think anyone can get on his case and get him in line.

Does anyone know any (basketball) sports radio streams I can listen outside of a browser (foobar2000, mpc, winamp, vlc)?
Things like espnradio are pretty inaccessible without the flash application.
