June 29: WardiTV Mondays #93

The first WardiTV Mondays under the 5.0.16 patch went to Solar, who continued his run of great results in the new balance environment by picking up wins against Percival, SHIN, and MaxPax on his way to the title (VOD).
Solar's finals opponent MaxPax put in a strong performance after struggling in the first few weeks of the new patch/PTR, pushing the finals to the maximum five games. The broad strategic approach from Solar wasn't all that different from his pre-patch ZvP, as he looked to swarm over his opponent with early or mid-game attacks. As for MaxPax, he mixed up old Stalker based strategies with the patch-popularized Skytoss. He didn't find much success with the former, but picked up two map wins on the back of 2-Stargate Phoenix into Tempest strategies. However, Solar made a series winning adjustment to the Phoenixes in game five, ditching his Hydras for mass Corruptors. The deadly combination of Corruptors, Roaches, and Queens were enough to plow through MaxPax's defenses and give Solar the championship clinching win.

June 29: Rotti and Rexy's Monday Cup #1

Monday Night Weeklies took a week off following Maestros of the Game II, but viewers still got to enjoy a second Monday Cup with Rotti and Rexy's Monday Cup coming in as a clutch replacement competition. MaxPax looked like the initial favorite amid a player roster that was missing many of top contenders, but instead Krystianer came out with the surprise victory (VOD).
The cup also saw HeroMarine make one of his deepest runs in quite some time, fighting all the way to the grand finals. However, he was unable to overcome the hyper-aggressive Krystianer, who took a 2-1 win in the finals.

June 30: PiGosaur Cup #88
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/pig088.png)
Solar locked in a weekly double in the PiGosaur Cup, taking out an all-Terran list of opponents in Nicoract, ByuN, and Cure (VOD). Still, it was a lot tougher for Solar compared to the previous week's perfect run, where he overran his opponents with endless waves of units. Most of the games turned into protracted macro duels, with Solar eking out victories in the end.

July 1: Kung Fu Cup #13
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/KFC2026_13.png)
The Kung Fu Cup held its first contest on the new version of the game, and it ended up giving Clem his first cup win of 5.0.16 as well (VOD).
The new patch hasn't changed anything about Clem's off-racing when facing Terrans, and his PvT looked as strong as ever in his 3-0 over Cure. Interestingly enough, the shape of the series wasn't all too different from many of Cure's pre-patch TvP's, as he leaned on 2-base pushes to try and gain an early advantage. Despite some close calls, Clem's defenses were sturdy enough to weather the early pressure, earning him the clean 3-0 sweep.
