I wouldn't even mind that much about the swastikas, i can live without those (Though i still find it incredibly annoying how shitty german laws are at dealing with video games, judging them as toys instead of art. And video game companies rather make a different version instead of risking to lose a court case and not being able to sell the game in Germany, thus nothing about that is going to change )
The dealbreaker for me is having to deal with dubbed audio. I have absolutely no interest in constantly dealing with translations that sound very wooden performed by sub-par speakers. Thus i don't buy a game that i am interested in. I guess i could buy it and then pirate it, but that sounds like a lot of hassle, and i have other games to play, so i guess they don't get my money.

Finally Nidhogg is at a price where i can actually recommend it to people! Although the online is kind of fucked up, the game is one-of-a-kind, and if you have someone to play with locally, then its a fucking amazing experience.

Regarding Legend of Grimrock, if I were to only buy one of these would it be the first game or the second?

Basically, buying video games is largely based on how ethical you are willing to be, which tends to make games more expensive but you feel better about yourself. Steam sales (And similar sales from legitimate sites like gog) have this huge advantage that you get games for cheap, without fucking over anyone.
Oh so it's about morality. Lol.

Or convenience, or laziness. All of which are valid reasons.
Most savvy buyers do know that Steam sales aren't the cheapest option. However, they might also feel that the extra time and effort needed to find a somewhat-reputable seller plus going through the effort of creating an account and linking their credit card details is not worth the comparatively miniscule savings.

Just like stealing something from a store, except you are not likely to get caught. If you want to buy from a weird key seller, knock yourself out. The developer might even get money, who knows. There is nothing new or shocking about a product being offered at a lower price from another store.

Anyways, if you are into games that look like classic 16-bit-style JRPGs, but without all of the problems they have ( for example, they have progressively better combat systems, real choices in character development, high story density and good, if a bit quirky and funny, stories. And they don't require any grinding), you should take a look at the Zeboyd games:
Penny Arcades On the Rain Slick...... whatever 3&4 Cthulhu saves the world & Breath of Death VII
Two bundles, each of which consisting of two such games, for less that 50 cents each bundle. And the games are surprisingly good. I bought the CstW bundle for 50 cents at some point and have bought their other games at release (or slightly after) since, and haven't regretted it.

The new Wolfenstein is easily one of the best FPS games (story-wise too) in the past few years. The new expansion, that is also -50%, is also decent what i've heard.
Bought mine already.

Is Wolfenstein a scary kind of game? Kinda like Metro or Outlast?
Or is it closer to Far Cry and Bioshock.
Please also note, I found Half Life 2 scary as fuck.

I mean, sure there might be some intense moments, but not anything horror. Nothing like Outlast or Silent Hills etc.
I'm sure you'll do fine. I usually shit my pants easily as well and i managed fine with Metro.

There was really a few of those in bioshock but I got over it quickly.
That said, Ill buy Wolfenstein. I keep hearing great things about it, and Im all for RPG shooters.

Just to make it clear, not an RPG shooter. But i'm sure you'll like it as long as you like the setting and FPS shooters in general.

Bought Wolfenstein The New Order but downloading at 50 KB/s :D

Bought Homeworld: Remastered. As someone who's never played Homeworld 1 or 2, is it good? :O As a kid, I enjoyed the single-player of AOE2 a lot, to give that question some context. I tried to get into Sins of a Solar Empire, but it was kinda tough for some reason.

I never played much skirmish so cant really comment on that.

Is it people goofing off online, or more like BW, where the few players have gotten really, really good?

Is it normal for downloads to be so painfully slow during steam sales?
