Even w/o the FG sites, there surely will be a lot of sweat shops that right now are wow based but will turn into D3 shops at the day of the release.

Blizzard is making the right decision by fighting it in Diablo 3 though, and it won't be necessary anyways seeing as how they are going to make gold into an actual useful currency.

It was a lot easier than trying to trade in game and imo D2 was designed to encourage p2p trades. what about players that do not use jsp ? how about all those 100k++ fg whos going to buy every top tier item off you, screwed up the market prices and caused noone else get to even use those items unless they found it themselves? D2 was designed to encourage p2p trades ? yes and it was a big part that make D2 so successful back in the day but D2jsp isnt related to that "AT ALL"

Give perfect characters to a pro and an amateur, the pro will always win if the battle is based off of skill. If it is based off of your gear, then it doesn't matter and either can win. A pro could spend his time doing something else, have somebody grind up a character for him to use, then use it and win with it. The amount you have to grind doesn't showcase your skill, and if the better geared character always wins, then skill gets replaced with many hours of grinding. I see grinding for gear, and grinding for skill to be very similar. The key difference is when gear is involved you can cheat by having someone else do the time for you, then reaping the benefits. Assuming no one cheats whoever puts more time into something will be better, gear or skill.

One of the best things i really enjoyed in early D2 Lod was trading :p Also being able to gather gear for other chars is essencial I think. And last but not least, HC chars that dies....your friends can pickup the gear and give it back.
