Should get your fair bit of entertainment out of it. Some seasons I just go for the fresh start and while I stop playing after 2-4 weeks, it's always enjoyable.
Shadow-dh kept me much longer in the game as it felt really fresh after playing marauder and ue for seasons. If you haven't played in a while give it a shot

They get moved to non-season.

And typically a season lasts for about 3 months.

Necromancer is fun but it just doesn't have that progression feeling when you can summon bunch of skeletons less than an hour game play.
The system in d3 is just too different. The weak point is so noticeable with necromancer

I bought the necro dlc but I didn't research the patch so I'm kind of butt hurt the dlc didn't drop with a new season. I don't wanna play standard at all. I'll just put the game on the back burner and start necro fresh with the next season.

I had so much crafting mats I just finished a full set and cleared GR 70 in 6 min with a few hours of gameplay. Non-season is indeed rather boring.
Seems everyone is using the bone storm build atm.

Seasons offers everyone a fresh start so you won't be behind on the ladder because of the lack of paragon points. There are also cosmetic rewards specific to each season if you are into that kind of thing.
Because everyone starts at the same paragon level, it's fun to compete to clear greater rifts. I've made top 100 a few times towards the beginning of a new season, it was fun before the botted accounts took over the leaderboard.

Only played a season with monk and got a set.

Ok after some thinking I guess that is supposed to mean necromancer is much stronger than all other classes. Tbh I dont care about that at all. Since I play solo the only time this would be relevant is when I look at some leader bord right?
Saw a video of necromancer and looked pretty boring. Just standing around while minions do their thing.

No, basically just meant that Necromancer is the new hotness and this season is the first one with it available.
So everyone will play Necro.
