Although its funny that he left his stream up, all this witch hunting against botters is dumb to me. I can't even blame people for botting tbh, having to waste an hour to get 15ish keys is just the stupidest thing ever. Especially since if you're pushing you go through 20 keys in like 15 minutes because about 3-5 of those will actually be a good rift.

You only get good xp if you're in an efficient 4 player group running speed 70s. People bot for gr keys so that they wake up with 100+ keys after running it for around 8 hrs, and then they run gr 70s for hours with their groups, turn their bot on, go to sleep, and repeat. The people who are p1800 at this point spend over 10 hrs a day doing 70s. Its not like you can just bot and not play the game. You still have to put in a shit load of time but botting makes it a lot more efficient because you aren't wasting half your time getting the stupid ass gr keys. I can't believe people actually think people bot for xp...LOL This is especially useful for pushing leaderboards because you can just stack up hundreds of gr keys while you sleep and then burn them all by entering and leaving every rift until you get a silver spire + unburied. This is why bots give you a huge advantage. People like alkaizer have to spend half a day running rifts so he can get 50 or so keys to push solo, and then has to do rifts again to get keys for xp runs, whereas someone who bots just wakes up with double that amount and spends his entire day pushing.

Now it makes a big difference because you're so far behind if you don't bot keys overnight. If blizzard removed gr keys then no one would bot anymore. Its the easiest fix to the stupidest issue in the game, but they won't do it i bet.

For 8 hours of botting, even at 1/4 a human's efficiency that's still 2 hours of progress. Even if you played the other 16, that's 12.5% extra progress you can get.

Your math doesn't account for playing solo and having to run low gr's with no xp gear...Maybe people at low paragons would still bot but that wouldn't matter because at some point it would become useless. You have to realize how little xp you get if you play solo. If you bot solo you'd have to bot like high 50s to stay efficient and if you're paragon 1000 you'll probably gain only a few levels overnight. It would be completely worthless considering running 70s in an efficient group gets you 1 level per run if you have pools even if you're like paragon 1400.

Like yeah you can bot overnight but like i said it would get you maybe 2 or 3 levels. Its just pointless, you wouldn't gain any advantage doing it. Only thing i can see people botting for would be mats. Running a bot overnight on regular rifts gets you ridiculous amounts of mats that you can use to gear everything through the cube, but since seasons last so long everyone that cares will eventually have good gear.

Botting for XP in the downtime between running GRifts as a group is, yes, technically still progress, but it's so measly compared to letting the bot do normal rifts for mats and keys.

Is there a minimum amount of CDR I should shoot for? Is the monk invincible during Dash animation?

So the bot programmers haven't managed to make a script to speedrun high GRs in group? I'd imagine it'd be possible to set up 4 bots to run together at close to same speed/GR as humans. I wouldn't surprise me if they could go faster, as they could coordinate on a split-second level much better. You would also do loot-share, so you'd be able to farm items. But maybe the bot programmers don't put that much effort into D3 anymore...
