"People who were at the presentation say it was extraordinarily helpful for Bungie’s team. One source called it “invaluable.” Others said it drove some of the decisions they made for The Taken King. In previous interviews with Kotaku and other sites, director Luke Smith has talked openly about avoiding randomness and designing quests with guaranteed rewards, an approach that has served Destiny well throughout year two so far. Destiny’s meta-narrative has followed the same path as Diablo III’s: It had a rocky launch, then the developers found redemption." i hope Blizzard hands Mosqueira some additional budget money to make some more Diablo3 content over the next few years... the guy is good. http://kotaku.com/the-messy-true-story-behind-the-making-of-destiny-1737556731

My gear is fresh 70 stuff, not at all optimised. Do I aim for a spec eg poison or fire?

I'll keep an eye out for the items, and I see the logic in everything written. My skills and passives were similar but I dropped companion for the 'storm from above' ability because it seemed like a good nuke. I'll try your setup tonight. Should I just be farming grifts to my highest manageable difficulty?

First step is probably rift -> grift -> leg gem as that's a huge power boost. Pages and pages back I advocated starting with bounties for cheap crafted set items and no one agreed with me... then I looked at my gear and realized I'd crafted two ancient weapons with sockets in the first 5 tries haha. Good rng != good advice =p. But eventually you will need bounty mats, I had a ton of legs I wanted to cube from leveling to 70. Plus, once you loot a few set items don't forget you can reroll duplicates to another item in the set! I salvaged my first duplicate on accident, needless to say the set bonus would have done a lot more for me than one forgotten soul.

I would try searching for gear via rifts and bounties. but you should definitely prioritize finding a group to get through some grifts when you feel comfortable. getting paragon levels is sooooo important so that you can push higher content and more quickly gear up.

Yeah, first stop will be to up your sheet dps with cc, CD main stat and so on in the places you can get them. In the meanwhile, also get the legendary gems. Pain enhancer and toxin deals a lot of damage when you don't have you class set. Those gems alone, with a sheet DPS closing in on 1M, will allow you to farm other things easier until you get your class set.

Agree with the first two thirds of your post but, there's nothing wrong with split infinitive. Sorry for not-picking but watching someone incorrectly point out a none-existent grammatical error in a post by a someone who is most likely not a native English speaker is kinda fun. ![]()

For now, Jimmy is right, but language evolves, like this thread =p.

For now, Jimmy is right, but language evolves, like this thread =p. Through extensive googling, I've found no source at all that indicates that splitting 'to' and the following infinitive is incorrect. 'To' is a prepositional marker and not part of the infinitive, so the term doesn't even make sense. It's just another urban myth, similar to how some people claim a preposition is a bad word to end a sentence with. ![]() Anyway, this is going waaayyy off topic, so if you got a source saying "split inifitives" is incorrect feel free to pm it to me, and I'll edit my posts. Otherwise we better just leave it here
