Ended up watching it a second time with the Stephen Prince commentary, was actually very insightful into the movie and Kurosawa's film-making.
Judging from your other opinions you have a similar taste to myself when it comes to movies. In this case I'd like to recommend Kurosawa's Dreams to you. Blew my mind.

Not really. And in my personal opinion, this movie was a complete disaster.
Back on topic:
Terminator: Salvation
Re-watched it yesterday. After the first time I thought it was OK but nothing great really. Now I must say I have to up the notes for it. Since I've already seen it I could concentrate on some other things this time around and boy was I surprised. The camera work in this movie is fucking amazing (the helicopter scene near the beginning - how the fuck did they do that? Mad props to MCG), special effects are top notch too. The story wasn't very great, but if you look at it, no story in T series was really great.
Saw Black Swan and The King's Speech and I have no idea why The King's Speech won the Oscar. Black Swan blew my mind while TKS played pretty much like 1000 other formulaic movies, just with a royal flavouring.
I wanted to try something new and a friend recommended A Serbian Film. I felt like my soul was being raped the entire time. Might be entertaining for some, though..

I'm planning to watch that movie for like 2 weeks now. Every time I want to start it somehow I change my mind.

It's ok to watch if you don't mind gore/porn, It got bought up before we went to watch a movie and i watched the trailer. Some of the scenes are very unique.
I've recently seen "Case 39" because my best friend is a huge, huge, huge Jodelle Ferland-Fan.
It actually turned out to be a nice horror movie based around a couple of shock effects and a really disturbing atmosphere without a lot of splatter (I think there's only one scene in the movie where you actually see blood).
Just saw Somewhere. Overall I would say it's a fair/mediocre movie with odd pacing issues...but it still made me pretty sad. That said, I think the central message is strong and stays with you after you walk away from it.
There's not many movies that focus on the father-daughter relationship, so I don't have any other movies to really compare it to. I should mention the only other movies I've seen the two leads are from Blade (Stephen Dorff) and Super 8 (Elle Fanning). You guys might recognize Pontius more from the Jack-Ass movies, and it was a surprise seeing him in this movie. I guess he was there for comic relief?

I watched an old kung-fu classic while I was in the mood. This is by far the greatest movie for actual Shaolin martial training methods. Gordon Liu is a superstar, and this is my favorite of his I've seen from the Shaw Brothers directors.
The Wu-Tang Clan use many of the terms and monikers in their albums, most obviously "Enter the 36th Chamber" from this cult classic.
The 36th Chamber of the Shaolin, or Master Killer, Shaolin Master Killer
Other Shaw Brother kung-fu films are quite good, Five Deadly Venoms, Five Element Ninjas, Shaolin and Wutang, and Disciples of the 36th Chamber are my favorites in order.
If you're into kung-fu films, check out Shaolin Master Killer : The 36th Chamber of the Shaolin, and other Shaw Brothers films afterwards! I watched them first when I was still actively dope-smoking, but I still cannot believe how firm a foundation these films made in my imagination. These films will mystify you...

I just saw Black Swan too. And it was a beautiful film. Really just wholly unique. Though I can see why it wouldn't win Best Picture. People's opinions are very devisive on it.
I also just watched The Social Network. It was good and well done, but I don't see what the big deal is with it.
