My sad prediction for next episode: + Show Spoiler +Every episode's title has had SOMETHING to do with the actual episode. (i.e. box cutter, the season premiere, had Gus kill Victor with a box cutter, etc etc). The next episode is End Times. My bet is that Walt is going to do what he set out to do from the beginning: provide for and protect his family. There may not be enough for all 4 of them, but there may be enough money for Skylar, Walt jr. and the baby to disappear, thus being the "end times" for Walt and his family being together. I betting that he'll pay for them to disappear, then battle for his own survival, with the season finale ending up as a "Face-Off" between him and Gus.
But I really hope I'm wrong and talking out of my ass.

WOW, just WOW. Bryan Cranston has outdone himself this season, he is so going to win another emmy for sure. That laugh at the end could have given the joker a run for his money... (i may be over exaggerating, but you get the point)

Agreed, that laugh at the end gave me chills.
I dont even know what to expect next.
Its just ridiculous.

That last episode was just @_@
- Ted tripping on the rug was fucking hilarious. I must have rewinded that shit 20 times. - The last minute or two was sending shivers down my back, soooo intense.

Just stopping back in to say that Huell is the best character ever. His cranium is glorious.

Who's that guy on the right? He looks and sounds so much like a stand up comedian whom I can't remember the name of
nevermind I found it! It was him, Bill Burr :D

If I recall correctly, this season aired too late to be eligible for this year's Emmys. It's a shame too considering Brian Cranston is yet again the best actor on TV and therefore deserves the Emmy, but hey--you have to give the other guys a chance too.

Who would actually be afraid of Huell? Like, hes only dangerous if you stand completely still for no reason. Make any movement and he'll have a heart attack long before he catches you. I think its a little...odd... that they made a rabidly obese guy Sauls strongman type henchmen.

Nonsense, the hidden gems of the show are Gus and Saul. Gus for being one of the very few intelligent villains on tv and Saul for his humour when he had more airtime in seasons 2/3. Quite frankly I've grown dissatisfied with Walt's character - after falling out of favour with Gus he has become a little pussy. Yes Cranston is doing a great job portraying a fearful character but...even then, I prefer his psycho side.
Jesse is growing more balls now that he's off drugs but Walt? C'me on?
Where is the Walt that surprised the shit out of Tuco with that big chemical explosion? I miss him.
That crazy ass laughter better put him back on psycho mode before I grow bored of his coward act.

Fat people can hold pistols too you know.
Episode was so unbelievably tense, had me on the edge of my seat. Sunday can't come soon enough!

Someone already mentioned it, but Ted's insistence that he could not pay the IRS seemed very strange. His refusal to believe the IRS would send him or anyone else to jail was idiotic; still, the semi-resolution there was pretty ridiculous. I can't see any way in which that could have worked out. Either they get Ted to pay and suddenly a new person is suspicious of the White family, or Ted refuses to pay and doesn't progress the story. Then he injures or kills himself and the whole thing goes to hell as there have got to be police involved.
This last episode completely brought it back by the end though, as I honestly have no idea where things are going to go from here.
Well, he was putting everything on one card. There is not much to understand either way. His situation is simple, hes broke and his life is ruined. He needs more money, and as he knew that skylar is sitting in the same IRS boat, he knew that she would not want the IRS to investigate further and to reveal the "illicit gambling money". Ted probably hoped to squeeze more money out of Tyler by pretending to be willing to go to jail, while he knew that his and the white familys' fate was carpet weaved together already.
Plus : Walt knew that he might be save right now, but in the long run he has no chance to survive, and in addition even his toddler, son and wife are in danger, as assured by Gus, which gives a further dramatical flavor. When he prepared his escape, and told Saul to call the dea, and when he found out that his money was given to ted, he laughed. He probably recognised the irony of those things which happened and happen. Once he entered the drug business to save his family in case he died of cancer, then his chances raised in all fields (his health, moneywise etc.). His fate just highered his position, to let him fall from a greater height and so that the crash becomes bigger. Now that everything is gone for Walt, he can't do anything but accepting the fact that he and his family are fucked up and that all he can do is to laugh at the irony of the universe. I don't know how the authors will be able to clean this mess around Walter with a plausible attempt, and without killing gus with a random lightning bolt or so.

the last episode was amazing

Is gus even the villain? If the show started out with gus, wouldn't you feel similarly towards him as you do towards walt? Dont you think gus represents what walt would become if he kept chipping off sections of his moral code?
I'm expecting walt to fucking nuts next episode when he is really backed against a wall like he is now. I didn't really consider him to be against one earlier this season when both jesse and him were tight.
That's as far as I thought, but there are so many different situations, I really have no idea. All I know is by the end of the next episode, someone will break a whole new level of bad. Which I think excludes Jesse and Walt making up and killing gus and going on their merry way. I think it will involve Jesse killling one of walt's family because gus told him to. Jesse was the one who shot gale cause walt couldnt do it, so I think jesse is capable of doing some crazy things in the finale.
Jesse vs walt, calling it now :X

Can anyone remind me why Gus and Walt ended up having a falling out? I only remember that Gus was gonna have Gale replace him and Jesse killed him but I don't recall why Gus was so set on having Gale replace Walt.

The first day that Walt moved into the super lab, Gale was there. Gus was planning on Walt dying some day(cancer), and always wanted to have Gale as a backup, ready to take over at any time. The whole part where Walt drove down the 2 dealers in his car just facilitated the matter.
