Walt cant sell out the cartel, their all dead. Even if they werent, thats an international issues and it wouldnt favor walt. As far as making a deal: he can sell out Gus, Jessie, Mike, and Saul. Im not sure that will give him witness protection ("Immunity") or a lighter sentence. As far as killing people, i dont think that will hinder him to a large degree, as it was gangbangers, and he can sell out a MASSIVE drug production and transport network.

I'm expecting walt to fucking nuts next episode when he is really backed against a wall like he is now. I didn't really consider him to be against one earlier this season when both jesse and him were tight.
That's as far as I thought, but there are so many different situations, I really have no idea. All I know is by the end of the next episode, someone will break a whole new level of bad. Which I think excludes Jesse and Walt making up and killing gus and going on their merry way. I think it will involve Jesse killling one of walt's family because gus told him to. Jesse was the one who shot gale cause walt couldnt do it, so I think jesse is capable of doing some crazy things in the finale.
Jesse vs walt, calling it now :X That's a good point, Gus does seem to be Walt down the road. However -- as someone else had mentioned earlier -- Gus seems to hold grudges to the extreme. He made this huge plan to kill the cartel, and then even worse he wants to kill Walt now because he did what? Killed two low-level drug dealers that worked for Gus and ruined his plan to have Jesse killed at the same time. I don't think Walt has that aspect to him, but everything else fits.
I disagree with the Jesse thing though. Killing Gale broke Jesse for a while. Not even just killing Gale, but killing someone that didn't actually harm Jesse in any way. I seriously doubt he could or would do it again.

great episode - i just hope the writers dont start killing off people since i love all the characters - thats one think i didnt lilke about a game of thrones, they just kill off all the good characters
|
ok i thought through it.... jesse is the one playing a huge role i think.
see mike is injured and somewhere in mexico, walt is in danger from gus. jesse knows all this, he knows gus wants to kill walt because he doesnt need him anymore.
BUT jesse is loyal enough, even if he hates walts guts right now, that he wouldnt allow it to happen! I smell a possibillity that Jesse finally kills Gus, knowing that there isnt a Cartel to deal with, and taking over the whole thing. He has been around with Mike to see how everything works, he was the only one to help Mike back in Mexico. So maybe Jesse takes over the buiseness of trading meth, walt still cooks and mike handles the rest.
idk i think something like this could happen :D

haha, Walt would never cook for Jesse and accept him as his boss.. never ever. apart from that Jesse doesnt have enough knowlege to take over Gus' business. thats too big for him

I believe Vince Gilligan has said Breaking Bad is basically an experiment where he can see if he can turn an average guy into a drug lord and make it believable.
I don't see Jesse killing a member of Walt's family. That's about as likely as killing off Jesse imo. Writers rarely ever destroy the character of a hero in a popular television show. Even now, if Jesse had to choose between killing Gus or killing Walt he would kill Gus without even thinking twice. I'm pretty sure he and Walt will reconcile. A much more likely finale is with Jesse turning against Gus (maybe killing him?) and saving Walt's life (again).
Walt is not going to prison, he's not going to change his identity and run away, he's not going to go into witness protection. He's going further down the rabbit hole and we're about to see just how Bad he can get. I imagine he is going to get out of this jam the same way he has gotten out of jams in the past: by using chemistry. This whole season he has been driven by neurotic, paranoid, ill-advised, rash actions. He's a lot better when he sits down to think for a second.

ted is dead or either bran dead his fingers were twitching which usually means extreme brain damage
|
"Skyler's efforts to solve Ted's financial problems hit a wall." lol
I feel like because Saul never specifically said Ted was dead, and that he cut off at the end of his sentence, Ted might have actually broken his neck. But with that whole oranges=death foreshadow from the Godfather that could just be flat out wrong.

the last 2 episodes were so sick, i lost a little faith at the start of the season, the way they just made peace with gus and moved on as if the end of season 3 never happened (they referenced it, but the relationships were basically unchanged, despite the huge events taht happened)

Just finished watching "crawl space", what a mind blowing episode. I read a review that said "Breaking bad's crawl space episode delivered more intensity in one episode, then most shows do in an entire year" and I could not agree more.
+ Show Spoiler +The end when walt was laughing hysterically that all the money he earned was gone, and he did the EXACT thing Gus told him not to do (interfere with Hank), plus the music, just put me in a catatonic shock.
Can't wait for the next episode.
On a side note:
+ Show Spoiler +Gus said he was going to "take care" of Hank, but I don't think he ever specially said he was going to kill Hank. That might be nothing and I might be reading to much into the "lack" of dialogue, but maybe Gus had other plans for getting Hank off the case. After all Hank already told his partner and boss that he believed Gus was a drug trafficker and if Hank died that might bring up a lot of questions. Especially if they started digging around what Hank was doing lately.
Edited some spelling mistakes.

^ Yeah it sounded like Gus was going to deliver a complicated solution to the Hank problem, but he also said that if Walt tried to warn Hank he would use a simpler solution (e.g. killing him). I think Walt didn't trust Gus enough so he decided to warn Hank.
spoiler for next episode
+ Show Spoiler + I heard there is a preview that shows Walt trying to blow up the lab in the next episode. Can't find the preview anywhere on the internet though.

i have questions for you breaking bad nerds
+ Show Spoiler + 1. i thought gus got rid of cartel associations with the federales raid in season 2-3? whats up with don eladio suddenly coming out of nowhere? 2. why the hell has gus been paying walt all this time? i mean, why not just threaten to kill his family and force him to work, for example. or jesse. or whoever. I can't think of any reason to pay him. what's he going to do if you don't pay him? if so, why isn't walt demanding more money? if not, why didn't gus stop/lower his pay? 3. why is ted literally retarded "i dont want to pay the irs, they wont put me in jail", also, why is such an enormous fuckup trying to restart the business again ? 4. did anyone notice if the mexican chemist died in the massacre? if not, he has walt's recipe, eh?

+ Show Spoiler +1. Different Cartels. There's a lot of them. 2. Gus needs consistent meth production just as much as Walt needs his life and his family. And he technically did demand more money at the beginning. Gus gave Walt like three different offers until he finally accepted at 14 million or something. Walt and Gus are both respectable "business men." Gus isn't going to make Walt a slave and Walt isn't going to demand more than an already ridiculous 14 million. 3. A lot of people (including those on TL) are also suspicious of that. Maybe Ted has ulterior motives to not paying besides being broke. Am I right in understanding that the second part of your question is asking why is it a bad idea to restart Ted's business? First off, he used the $600k to restart the business. The IRS would have come down on him long before he could see any profit returns. Secondly, his business failed once; the chances of it working the second go around are almost non-existent. 4. He did die.

This show is so sick ! Last few episodes were just too good.
And why do you guys think Ted is STILL alive ? Its obvious that he died when Saul was talking with the guys just before Walt barged into Saul's office.

I dont really understand Gus. He seemed like a peaceful guy, who said he do not believe in fear as a motivator. He is really pissed at Walt for some weird reason, killing low life drugdealers? Having a little heated discussion?
+ Show Spoiler + The conversation between Gus and Walt in the desert was also weird, I didnt really believe in it. Gus came across as angry and out of control, scared even. He used fear a lot, which is not the Gus I came to know.
My favourite character remains: Hank (although I love all of them)
