It's March and they're playing BO1 elimination matches at the first DPC event they've attended as 5.

Or maybe they realize how far behind they are this season and the pressure is causing them to burn themselves out trying to catch up. Or maybe it's both. In any case, the Liquid at this event is not the Liquid we've come to expect. Hopefully they'll make some sort of miracle lower bracket run à la TI7 to at least grab enough DPC points to have a more secure position in the standings.

The itemization was wrong as they did not change it but stick to their comfort zone.

I don't know if the coach has anything to do with the drafts, but I will agree with you - Usually they play well at least. But this tournament was embarassing to put it mildly - something is really wrong they just played bad. Havent seem them play like that ever.

This year, there is a lot less tournaments overall, they got unlucky to not allways be the full team when they played. I think now there is at least some amount of pressure to perform while not having the most experience and also not the most oportunitys. This must be a shock to the team as well, they know they not only can do better but this wasnt even a fraction of what they are capable of. Hope they will bounce back!

Don't know...missing the words right now. Never felt so disappointed about this team like today.

And they did it again, and again, and again, as if expecting that something will magically change if they just believe in the heart of the cards, or something. Why didn't they even TRY to swap lanes in that last game? They could have had good matchups. Instead they had the worst matchups possible on all 3 lanes, and did absolutely nothing about it. What's even the point of having Kuro Tusk in top lane against Ursa? I'm so sick of watching Liquid bash their heads against a wall instead of going around it.

I have been lucky enough to interact with the team a lot lately and this won't be something they just shake off. After their elimination from Birmingham in 2017, they came up for a press round after losing to Secret. Now I won't name names but at least one of the players was absolutely crushed. Looked like he was on the verge of crying. That's how hard this team takes losses. That's how invested they are. I understand you're all disappointed but please don't imply that they're not trying. Because if it's one thing I know for sure is that they are. We know we have the individual skill, it's about making slight adjustments. We'll be back. There are still two majors left and the team will surely use this for fuel!
